FWIW I also saw this behavior with (previously in experimental)
4:18.04.2-1, but  not with current experimental's 4:18.08.3-1. Note
that I do not use kopete, but just saw the bug and tried.

I no longer have the buggy behaviour.  The dolphin package is of the same 
version, some dependencies have been updated since the report.
