Bug#405965: Not Random - lo interface down
Hi, i've reproduced this bug in the debian etch and lenny, even on the default installation. Sid seems to work correctly. Is not random, it occurs only when a network interface is UP and the loopback interface is down. ___ Con Tiscali Voce 8 Mega telefoni e navighi SENZA LIMITI e GRATIS a soli € 15 al mese per i primi 12 mesi. Bug#397401: global shortcuts sometimes do not work
Package: kdebase Version: 3.5.4-2 Severity: normal I configured few shortcuts, global-shortcuts in Amarok and KMixer like win+M is stop playing etc. After I upgraded KDE some time ago - they stoped working. I re-configured them and most of them started working again (all the applications shortucts like Win+T == konsole work now after setting them again). But other keys do not work. While setting them again, the old setting was displayed but didnt worked util set again to identical value in configuration and Saved (ok/apply). + global shortcut in amarok: next song (win+n) work - global shortcut in amarok: pause (win+m) fail + global shortcut in kmix: volume up (win+shift+up) fail + global shortcut in kmix: volume up (win+shift+down) fail + appl shortcut: win+T Konsole work any clue? It would be nice to have utility to debug processing of recived key event. And it would be very good(!) to have utility to search the shortcut by a key. Like - I enter a key "win+t" and KDE informs me what is assigned overall to that key and why / where can I edit that - i would include all KDE hotkeys (and possibly gestures) as well as (currently running applications) global hot keys. -- Rafał Maj www.Raf256.org C++ -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Bug#394192: Security: integer overflow in pixmap handling (CVE-2006-4811)
Package: libqt4-core Version: all Severity: critical Tags: security, fixed-upstream CVE-2006-4811 A critical integer overflow was found in QT, possibly allowing remote code execution, for example via manipulated images loaded by apps like Konqueror See Red Hat Advisory: https://rhn.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2006-0720.html " An integer overflow flaw was found in the way Qt handled pixmap images. The KDE khtml library uses Qt in such a way that untrusted parameters could be passed to Qt, triggering the overflow. An attacker could for example create a malicious web page that when viewed by a victim in the Konqueror browser would cause Konqueror to crash or possibly execute arbitrary code with the privileges of the victim. (CVE-2006-4811) " A demo exploit, leading to a crash at an up-to-date sid box, is provided at http://bugzilla.redhat.com/bugzilla/attachment.cgi?id=138488 Patch http://bugzilla.redhat.com/bugzilla/attachment.cgi?id=138489 -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Re: KDE 3.5.0 final packages now on alioth
I don't have much else to add except I'm having the same problem. I had to temporarily enable both of my panels to never auto-hide so I could use them. Gunter Ohrner wrote: Gunter Ohrner wrote: > I misinterpreted the symptoms: It's kicker's autohide which doesn't work any more for me. Panels set to autohide will hide just fine but won't reappear if moving to their location with the mouse cursor. KDE 3.5 upload to unstable
Why don't you just upload KDE 3.5 to unstable instead uploading 3.4 again for the current g++ transition? It doesn't matter if KDE 3.5 is broken in unstable (although it's been already tested) since current KDE 3.4 is broken because of the transition. Prueba el Nuevo Correo Terra; Seguro, Rápido, Fiable.
Bug#302029: Kcontrol in Sarge
Package: kcontrol Hi :-) I do not know, if it is KControl itself, or is it only problem with Debian Sarge package. In stable (Woody) KDE 2.2.2 I could choose font encoding for my language (Polish 2 alternatives) and languages of other users (English, Norwegian and Northern Saami). Then it was possible to choose encoding for UI from look&feel -> Fonts and from within many programs, as Kedit for example. In Sarge all these multilingual alternatives possibilities are gone. Some translated programs have horribly looking menus. Many arguments for using Linux in multilingual environment seem, are not actual... Perhaps it is my installation... I miss these features and I can not find any instruction, how to get them without downgrading ... Best greetings Basia -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
