We would like a confirmation to be absolutely sure that it is the changes
related to libpisock that is the culprit.

I have installed the two packages, attached my palm t|x and hotsynced. After
answering tree expected conflicts, the hotsync proceeded and a quick look
shows that the calender entries which went missing with the last version
(all) are now back, including changes I did afterwards to my korganizer.

Thank you very much!

Well, I've actually compiled and installed the 0.12 beta 2 source. It
seems that Jabber won't connect at all in this beta, and I just filed a bug
on it. Do you still want me to test the package in unstable? I'll be glad
to if you think it's necessary.

No, that won't be neccessary. The only thing I would ask you, is to note the
upstream bug URL by sending

forwarded 356073 ...URL...

to [EMAIL PROTECTED], so that everyone can track what's going on
upstream.

P.S. Sorry if you get two copies of this. I'm often a bit confused as to
whether I should send this to just the bug address (and should I
use -quiet?), or to the bug and the person that e-mailed me (you, in this
 case).

Typically you'll want to send mail to bugno@bugs.d.o: This files the mail
with the BTS and sends copies to all interested parties. Additionally, you
can add a line

X-Debbugs-Cc: ...email1,email2...

as the first line in your mail to the BTS, then the BTS Will take care of
forwarding the mail as appropriate.

Bug#351029: kmail: crashes on startup

2006-02-02 Thread David Schmitt
Package: kmail
Version: 4:3.5.0-5+b1

crashes on startup (see attached trace from kcrash).

Before upgrading the libraries, kmail worked without a hitch. Perhaps
this is related to http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=116773?

Bug#351029: kmail: crashes on startup

2006-02-02 Thread David Schmitt

Indeed, I installed 3.5.1-1 from incoming and kmail works again.

While I am aware, that KDE doesn't support partial upgrades, i would think
that the obviousness and severeness of this crash warrant a Conflict or an
appropriate Depends in kmail?

Bug#350561: ksysguard: changed order of sensors ignored

2006-01-30 Thread David Schmitt
Package: ksysguard
Version: 4:3.5.1-1
Severity: normal

Hi!

ksysguard ignores/reverts changing the order of sensors in the
Signal Plotter Settings dialog.

Steps to reproduce:

* Start ksysguard
* right click on one of the displays with multiple sensors (e.g.
  Physical Memory)
* choose Properties
* switch to the Sensors tab
* Note down the list of current sensors (eg Cached Memory, Buffered
  Memory, Application Memory)
* Change the order by selecting one of the items and using the Move
  Up/Move Down buttons
* Note down the list of changed sensors (eg Buffered Memory, Cached
  Memory, Application Memory)
* Apply the changes by pressing the OK button.
* Reenter the Signal Plotter Settings dialog and recheck the order of
  sensors

On my installation (current sid), the order is not chaned from the
original one.

Regards, David

Bug#319154: kdelibs' ftbfs: simple fix

2005-07-23 Thread David Schmitt
Hello *!

Including kxmlguiclient.h in kdeui/kactioncollection.h fixes this ftbfs,
though I have not yet tried whether the new packages work and the build
sports quite a few warnings.
