Bug#833803: oxygen-icon-theme: Gtk-WARNING **: Theme directory base/ of theme default.kde4 has no size field
Package: oxygen-icon-theme Version: 5:5.24.0-1 Severity: normal Tags: patch Dear Maintainer, I'm running Debian sid. After one update/dist-upgrade cycle I found out that starting gvim from the terminal output this message: (gvim:14295): Gtk-WARNING **: Theme directory base/ of theme default.kde4 has no size field The directory of the theme default.kde4 is a link to the oxygen theme directory. On my system "dpkg -S /usr/share/icons/oxygen" outputs this: dragonplayer, korganizer, oxygen-icon-theme, kdepim-runtime, konq-plugins, kopete, kdepimlibs-data: /usr/share/icons/oxygen so one of those packages wrote something incorrect in the index.theme file. When I delved into that file I found out that in the "Directories=" configuration parameter, among the other directories listed, there was a "base/", which does not have a corresponding section. The patch to avoid the error message is just to find the string "base/," in the list of directories and delete it. -- System Information: Debian Release: stretch/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 4.6.0-1-amd64 (SMP w/4 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) Versions of packages oxygen-icon-theme depends on: ii hicolor-icon-theme 0.15-1 oxygen-icon-theme recommends no packages. oxygen-icon-theme suggests no packages. -- no debconf information

Bug#461394: kghostview: When reloading a document the page should not gange
Package: kghostview Version: 4:3.5.7-4 Severity: wishlist Hello, When making a document in LaTeX sometime is useful to view the result in the postscript format rather than the dvi. This especially important when using pstricks. For that is important to generate the ps document and reloading it many times. But if one is viewing certain page, it is important that (after reloading the document) the page would be the same, not the first page as the current behavior of kghostview does. The old program gv behaves as good, after reloading a document the viewing page is the one the user was viewing before reloading. Artsrec not working ?
Hi people I was trying to use artsrec to record a wav file, I would appreciate some help from you. What I did : # artsrec lixo.wav CTRL-C to stop recording # artsplay lixo.wav artsd show me the following error : Audio File Library : ´/root/lixo.wav´ : unrecognized audio file format [error 0] but if I try to play a wav I recorded by using xwave, arts play it nicely. So I figured: (1) or artsrec is writing some other format, and is ignoring the extension of this file (.wav); (2) or artsrec is writing a bad wav file. So I would like to undestand : (1) What is the output file format of artsrec ? The man page or artsrec -h show say it. (2) Is it a general problem or only my wks problem ? Some else have sucess or fail in using artsrec ? Resumé - libarts1 version :1.3.2-2 Sarge Debian in i386 i810_audio I like to thanks everybody for help me. Fernando.

Bug#247407: Missing method in /etc/menu-methods/ for updating KDE menu
Package: kdebase Severity: normal Followup-For: Bug #247407 I have a similar problem than the one reported by the original submitter. I never had my KDE menu empty, but there is an explanation for that: I was not logged in an X session when I upgraded from KDE 3.1 to KDE 3.2, so if the proposed cure for the dissapearing menu entries is correct, I could have never seen my KDE menu empty, for as I soon as I logged in the otherwise missing entries should have been restored... The bug I found occurs at installing o removing a non-KDE package providing a menu entry. The entry is neither added (when installing a package) nor removed (when removing a package) from the KDE menu... which is no surprise as there is no method in /etc/menu-methods handling the insertion or removal of menu entries for KDE. KDE programs are apparently managed in a different way, as they do add and remove themselves from the KDE menu. A search in http://packages.debian.org/ for packages providing some file in /etc/menu/methods shows forty-something results, none of which is related to KDE, both for the testing and unstable distributions. Therefore I think my problem and the one the original submitter reported are caused by the lack of a KDE menu method for update-menus to use. -- Groucho -- System Information: Debian Release: testing/unstable APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.5-1-k7 Locale: LANG=es_AR, LC_CTYPE=es_AR
