Bug#931493: [plasma-desktop] remove rotating effect of notification icon in system tray when copying

2019-07-06 Thread Jiri Kanicky
Package: plasma-desktop
Version: 4:5.13.5-1+b1
Severity: normal

--- Please enter the report below this line. ---

Can someone please completely remove the rotating effect of notification
icon in system tray? Every time I copy something it takes 30% of the CPU
and my fans start spinning as crazy. I don't even understand how feature
like that can even pass testing.

Thank you.

Bug#907439: plasma-desktop: plasma panel freezes when handling usb memory stick

2018-08-27 Thread Jiri Kanicky
Package: plasma-desktop
Version: 4:5.13.4-1
Severity: important

Dear Maintainer,

It seems that plasma panel freezes when any kind of storage becomes unavailble.
Please can you remove all storage components from the panel and make it rock
stable. This is the most annoying bug from the whole KDE. I expect things to
break, but panel should keep working.

Bug#902645: /usr/bin/plasmashell: plasmashell keeps requesting to mount nfs for no reason

2018-06-28 Thread Jiri Kanicky
Package: plasma-workspace
Version: 4:5.12.5-1
Severity: normal
File: /usr/bin/plasmashell

Dear Maintainer,

ISSUE:
plasmashell keeps requesting to mount nfs for no reason.

syslog:
Jun 29 12:31:48 superman systemd[1]: Unmounting /mnt/megatron-media...
Jun 29 12:31:48 superman systemd[1]: Unmounted /mnt/megatron-media.
Jun 29 12:31:48 superman systemd[1]: mnt-megatron\x2dmedia.automount: Got
automount request for /mnt/megatron-media, triggered by 1248 (plasmashell)
Jun 29 12:31:48 superman systemd[1]: Mounting /mnt/megatron-media...
Jun 29 12:31:49 superman systemd[1]: Mounted /mnt/megatron-media.

I have NFS mounts in /etc/fstab which permit user to mount and also
automacially unmount the FS if idle.
# megatron.internal.corp:/mnt/storage/media /mnt/megatron-medianfs4
noauto,user,noatime,nodiratime,x-systemd.automount,x-systemd.device-timeout=10,timeo=14,x-systemd.idle-timeout=1min
  0 0

EXPECTATION:
I believe there is no reason for these requests to mount it. Plasmashell
should not request to mount the filesystem until i click on the mount in
Dolphin.
