Bug#582004: kdebase: On upgrade to 4.4 Plasma breaks completely. plasma-desktop must be a required package.

I restarted X and logged in to find that Plasma was barely functional. There was no panel, no dashboard, no context menus of any sort. Alt-F2 still brought up the runner but that's all. Window switching was barely functional. I discovered that this problem could be solved by installing the plasma-desktop package.
