Bug#423001: karm takes much too long to add/delete items

My guess is that this is related to the "log history" option, which I've now disabled. I'm fairly certain this is what was causing my performance problems. 2.8MB flat text ICS files as event databases would surely cause a similar delay to what I was experiencing. I do think this is a valid bug, of the "doesn't scale" variety. IMHO, history should be logged to another file, and/or in another format. -- Lee Braiden -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble? Bug#238368: kopete: yes, please remove this dependancy
Package: kopete Version: 4:3.3.1-2 Followup-For: Bug #238368 Agreed. Please remove this dependancy. I just manually removed xmms from kopete's entry in /var/lib/status, uninstalled xmms, and kopete works fine. I suspect it may be needed for the Now Listening plugin, but I don't use that, and it should be in another package if it has strange dependancies and is not normally needed. There's no reason to keep a dependancy on xmms. If nothing else, please remove the now listening plugin for now. -- System Information: Debian Release: 3.1 APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable') Architecture: powerpc (ppc) Kernel: Linux 2.6.9-powerpc Locale: LANG=C, LC_CTYPE=en_GB.UTF8 (charmap=UTF-8) Versions of packages kopete depends on: ii kdelibs4 4:3.3.1-1 KDE core libraries ii libart-2.0-2 2.3.16-6 Library of functions for 2D graphi ii libc6 2.3.2.ds1-18 GNU C Library: Shared libraries an ii libfam0c102 2.7.0-6client library to control the FAM ii libgadu3 1:1.5-4Gadu-Gadu protocol library - runti ii libgcc1 1:3.4.3-2 GCC support library ii libglib1.21.2.10-9 The GLib library of C routines ii libgtk1.2 1.2.10-17 The GIMP Toolkit set of widgets fo ii libice6 4.3.0.dfsg.1-8 Inter-Client Exchange library ii libidn11 0.5.2-3GNU libidn library, implementation ii libjpeg62 6b-9 The Independent JPEG Group's JPEG ii libpcre3 4.5-1.1Perl 5 Compatible Regular Expressi ii libpng12-01.2.8rel-1 PNG library - runtime ii libqt3c102-mt 3:3.3.3-7 Qt GUI Library (Threaded runtime v ii libsm64.3.0.dfsg.1-8 X Window System Session Management ii libstdc++51:3.3.5-2 The GNU Standard C++ Library v3 ii libx11-6 4.3.0.dfsg.1-8 X Window System protocol client li ii libxext6 4.3.0.dfsg.1-8 X Window System miscellaneous exte ii libxi64.3.0.dfsg.1-8 X Window System Input extension li ii libxml2 2.6.11-5 GNOME XML library ii libxrender1 0.8.3-7X Rendering Extension client libra ii libxslt1.11.1.8-5XSLT processing library - runtime ii xlibs 4.3.0.dfsg.1-8 X Window System client libraries m ii zlib1g1:1.2.2-3 compression library - runtime -- no debconf information
Bug#267621: libarts1: white noise and crashes on ppc
Package: libarts1 Version: 1.3.0-1 Severity: important Hi, On PowerPC, arts output (KDE system event sounds) start off with what sounds like whitenoise. Towards the end of the sample, the intended sound becomes more audible through the noise, but it never clears up. Also... I'm guessing this is related, but perhaps not: artsd crashes very frequently, giving a KDE crash dialog. The backtrace gives no useful information, but I'm assuming it has something to do with the bad audio. -- System Information: Debian Release: 3.1 APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable') Architecture: powerpc (ppc) Kernel: Linux 2.6.8-powerpc Locale: LANG=en_GB.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_GB.UTF-8 Versions of packages libarts1 depends on: ii libartsc0 1.3.0-1aRts Sound system C support librar ii libasound21.0.5-1Advanced Linux Sound Architecture ii libaudio2 1.6d-2 The Network Audio System (NAS). Bug#254348: my mistake, maybe
Sorry. I just found the pics in a folder I had open in another tab while moving. Not sure whether konqueror screwed up or me, so I guess this should be closed :/ -- Lee Braiden [EMAIL PROTECTED]
Bug#254348: konqueror: loses files on move
Package: konqueror Version: 4:3.2.2-1 Severity: normal Hi, I was just moving photos from my usb storage camera (ie, mounted as a normal vfat fs) to an NFS mounted folder. I think I used cut/paste rather than move, because dragging the files to the destination gave me the not possible cursor (crossed circle, like a no-smoking sign). Anyway, an error message came up immediately upon paste, saying that the clipboard was empty. Then it showed the normal progress display for moving the images. When it was done, both folders were empty! I should probably mention that drag-and-drop often crashes in konqueror, too. Maybe that's unrelated. -- System Information: Debian Release: testing/unstable APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable') Architecture: powerpc (ppc) Kernel: Linux 2.6.6 Locale: LANG=C, LC_CTYPE=C Versions of packages konqueror depends on: ii kcontrol 4:3.2.2-1 KDE Control Center ii kdebase-kio-plugins 4:3.2.2-1 KDE I/O Slaves ii kdelibs4 4:3.2.3-1 KDE core libraries ii kdesktop 4:3.2.2-1 KDE Desktop ii kfind 4:3.2.2-1 KDE File Find Utility ii libart-2.0-2 2.3.16-5 Library of functions for 2D graphi ii libc6 2.3.2.ds1-13 GNU C Library: Shared libraries an ii libfam0c102 2.7.0-5client library to control the FAM ii libgcc1 1:3.3.4-1 GCC support library ii libice6 4.3.0.dfsg.1-4 Inter-Client Exchange library ii libjpeg62 6b-9 The Independent JPEG Group's JPEG ii libkonq4 4:3.2.2-1 Core libraries for KDE's file mana ii libpcre3 4.5-1.1Perl 5 Compatible Regular Expressi ii libpng12-01.2.5.0-6 PNG library - runtime ii libqt3c102-mt 3:3.2.3-2 Qt GUI Library (Threaded runtime v ii libsm64.3.0.dfsg.1-4 X Window System Session Management ii libstdc++51:3.3.4-1 The GNU Standard C++ Library v3 ii libx11-6 4.3.0.dfsg.1-4 X Window System protocol client li ii libxext6 4.3.0.dfsg.1-4 X Window System miscellaneous exte ii libxrender1 0.8.3-7X Rendering Extension client libra ii xlibs 4.3.0.dfsg.1-4 X Window System client libraries m ii zlib1g1:1.2.1.1-3compression library - runtime -- no debconf information
