Bug#389565: kcontrol: Printers module does not have an option to change CUPS server
Package: kcontrol Version: 4:3.5.4-2+b1 Severity: normal *** Please type your report below this line *** In the KDE Control Center, under "Peripherals" then "Printers", I choose CUPS as my "Print system currently used". Default server is localhost:631. I wish to use an external CUPS server, but cannot change the server here. If I do not have a local CUPS server running, or have no rights on the remote CUPS server, I cannot use "configure server". However, I can use the "What is this?" (Shift+F1) help function on the Server: localhost:631 entry on the bottom of te screen. It tells me "To switch to a different CUPS server, click "System options" etc. " This was in fact helpful as via google I found I could use the kprinter program to change the server. To summarize: there should be an option to change the CUPS server. Bug#257139: kdesktop: KDE skips window after window set to "Keep Below Others" when walking through them
Ok. The KDE bug number is 84424 (filed for kwin). That means I have to reach for my mouse ... ok, now I was able to reproduce it. I can also file this bug at bugs.kde.org, of course, as that's where it probably should go. I'd recommend you doing so, if you can. You'll probably get better results (here we can only forward it ourselves, and that introduces an extra layer of communication). Your description above, plus the fact that it only happens in CDE mode, should suffice. Please write back telling the kde bug number if you finally submit it to KDE BTS. thanks, -- Adeodato Simó EM: asp16 [ykwim] alu.ua.es | PK: DA6AE621 Listening to: Tamara - No es un capricho Capitalism is the extraordinary belief that the nastiest of men, for the nastiest of reasons, will somehow work for the benefit of us all. -- John Maynard Keynes
Bug#257139: kdesktop: KDE skips window after window set to "Keep Below Others" when walking through them
Hi! I have checked on one other (newly installed) computer, and it has the same problem. On second thoughts, this is probably more related to the package kwin. You are using the same versions, right? There is not much more details I can give, because it doens't really depend on the number of windows etc. For instance, the bug already occurs with two windows, which is quite annoying: I have one window maximised, that has the focus, and one other window that is set to "Keep below others", on the background (of course), but not minimised.
