Subject: Some KDE packages depend on an old kdebase-data Package: kdebase-data Version: 4:3.5.10.dfsg.1-1 Severity: grave Justification: renders package unusable
*** Please type your report below this line *** Some KDE packages like kcontrol, kdm or kicker (maybe more) depend on an old version of kdebase-data on the PowerPC architecture. It looks like other arches are affected, too. x86(64) doesn't seem to be affected. The following packages have unmet dependencies: kcontrol: Depends: kdebase-data (< 4:3.5.9.dfsg.2) but 4:3.5.10.dfsg.1-1 is installed kdm: Depends: kdebase-data (< 4:3.5.9.dfsg.2) but 4:3.5.10.dfsg.1-1 is installed kicker: Depends: kdebase-data (< 4:3.5.9.dfsg.2) but 4:3.5.10.dfsg.1-1 is installed E: Unmet dependencies. Try using -f. This causes an apt-get dist-upgrade to render KDE unusable (won't start KDM anymore). A temporary workaround it to install kcontrol, kdm, kicker, konqueror and its dependencies manually with dpkg forced install. -- System Information: Debian Release: squeeze/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable') Architecture: powerpc (ppc64) Kernel: Linux 2.6.28.7 (SMP w/4 CPU cores; PREEMPT) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-qt-kde-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
