Bug#802345: ktuberling: Crash instead of starting

2015-10-19 Thread Robert Gomułka
Package: ktuberling
Version: 4:4.14.0-1
Severity: important

Dear Maintainer,
After recent KDE transition ktuberling no longer starts and crashes instead:
carramba@robert-desktop:~$ ktuberling
KCrash: Application 'ktuberling' crashing...
KCrash: Attempting to start /usr/lib/kde4/libexec/drkonqi from kdeinit
KCrash: Connect sock_file=/home/carramba/.kde/socket-robert-desktop/kdeinit4__0
Unable to start Dr. Konqi
Not forwarding the crash to Apport.

It used to work few months ago.
Recently I performed update (not full, there are probably a few system
packages not updated
and it no longer works. The update of KDE wasn't smooth and involved
several `dpkg -r --force-depends` with `apt-get -f install` at the end,
but now apt-get doesn't complain at all. At least some other KDE apps
launch just fine: konqueror, k3b, kfind, knode. Haven't tried other
KDE games, though.
Removing ~/.kde does not help

Reproducible: always

Bug#360445: kbabel: Extra information - patch

2006-06-22 Thread Robert Gomułka
Package: kbabel
Version: 4:3.5.2-1
Followup-For: Bug #360445

Please apply the following patch. For me it does the thing - fixes
problem. I don't know the reason it wasn't applied upstream.
--- KDE/kdesdk/kbabel/kbabel/kbabelview.cpp (révision 532798)
+++ KDE/kdesdk/kbabel/kbabel/kbabelview.cpp (copie de travail)

I have just rebuilt the kbabel package, that's why I have 3.5.2-1
instead of +b2 (or sth similar). Please apply means I would like to see
it in Debian patches for upcoming (I hope) 3.5.3 Debian packages,
because I don't know when it will be applied upstream.
The patch comes from http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=116906, its
author is Olivier Trichet.

Bug#366176: krita: Krita does not start after installation

2006-05-06 Thread Robert Gomułka
severity 366176 normal
retitle 366176 Krita cannot be started just after fresh install
thanks

For unknown reason I can now start the application. I have done two things in
the meantime:
1. System restart
2. System update/upgrade
I guess the first one fixed problem somehow. But in my opinion it still
exists, but is something different - krita cannot be launched after fresh
installation.

Bug#225321: knode: remove citation marks does not work for multiple marks

2006-04-15 Thread Robert Gomułka
Package: knode
Version: 4:3.5.2-1
Followup-For: Bug #225321

Thank you for your explanation. I have lost access to my previous e-mail
account, so I haven't been able to act earlier. Your explanation makes
everything clear. However, I have seen (mainly on newsgroups) mainly
this quotation:
>>> txt
>> txt
> txt
instead of KMail's:
> > > txt
> > txt
> txt
so, if it is possible, I would like to see wishlist item in KDE BTS for
accepting both cases when removing citation marks.

I couldn't reproduce this problem with KDE upgraded to 3.5.2 (partial upgrade,
but at least konqueror was upgraded).
Please verify this and close the bug if appropriate (KDE bug was closed

Bug#296007: kmail: Long delay before showing up "open with..." dialog

2005-02-19 Thread Robert Gomułka
Package: kmail
Version: 4:3.3.2-1
Severity: normal

I receive e-mails with attachments. Then I click right mouse button on
attachment and choose "Open with ...". Then I have to wait about 30
seconds before getting window with programs to choose.

Expected behavior: no delay between choosing an option and showing up

Reproducible: always.
Observed: not sure. Possibly some months (but I am sure it didn't use to
happen before).

Bug#272374: kuickshow: Focus in wrong place in file browser

2004-09-19 Thread Robert Gomułka
Package: kuickshow
Version: 4:3.3.0-1.1
Severity: normal

When one presses space when viewing image, file browser shows up.
But directory field has focus, which is wrong, because pressing space
again does not hide file browser, but add space to directory name
instead.
The workaround is to press mouse at kuickshow window (outside mentioned
field) - then space works as expected.

Bug#272372: kuickshow: Full screen mode should be changed at runtime

2004-09-19 Thread Robert Gomułka
Package: kuickshow
Version: 4:3.3.0-1.1

As in other image viewers, there should be something like 'F' key, which
should switch full screen on and off.
Now one has to enable/disable it in global options, which can be
aggravating.

Bug#260125: kmail: KMail does not always clean its lock file at exit

2004-07-18 Thread Robert Gomułka
Package: kmail
Version: 4:3.2.2-2
Severity: normal

For a few versions of kmail (if I remember clean it happened also
on 3.1 KDE versions) I've found rather annoying bug.
When I close my system with `shutdown` command, from time to time
~/.kde/share/apps/kmail/lock still remains, which prevents kmail
from being started on next system startup until I delete lock file
manually.
What have I tried:
- disabled all cleanings on exit in kmail options
- tried to give more time between signals to kmail (-t switch of
shutdown)
Neither of them worked for me.

I am not sure, but does kmail removes its lock file on which signal?
SIGKILL, SIGTERM? If on the first one, it can be the issue.

Bug#255889: knode: Wrong characters encoding in message source view

2004-06-23 Thread Robert Gomułka
Package: knode
Version: 4:3.2.2-2
Severity: normal

When one selects Message/show (message) source from KNode menu, it has
wrong (probably hardcoded) characters encoding. In my opinion it is just
ISO-8859-1. When I use in my system ISO-8859-2, national characters
(with accents) don't look good. Instead of them I can see reversed P,
upper 3 (as in index), reversed ? and other strange characters.

Bug#252888: Sudden crash of konsole

2004-06-05 Thread Robert Gomułka
Package: konsole
Version: 4:3.2.2-1
Severity: normal

I've used konsole for a long time. It works good for me.
However, today strange situation happened. I was logged on by ssh on
remote machine. I was running shell script with a lot of output lines.
While browsing the script output with ctrl-pgdn/ctrl-pgup konsole
disappeared.
I had two konsole sessions opened, so couldn't close both of them by
accident.
No bugreport window from KDE appeared (the one with Konqui, saying, that
application did something wrong (SIG11 or sth)).
I couldn't reproduce the problem (but will try to), but I am pretty
sure that the bug exists somewhere, because:
a) I didn't do anything special, which could cause observed behaviour
b) I have no strange problems with system - everything works as expected

So, while it is still easy to close the bug with UNREPRODUCIBLE tag, I'd
like to give it a chance and try to find and fix it.

Bug#245830: kdesktop: consider reassign the bug?

2004-04-28 Thread Robert Gomułka
Package: kdesktop
Version: 4:3.2.2-1
Severity: normal
Followup-For: Bug #245830

I am the bug reporter. I have some extra info about it.
It happens only with launching "kmines". Other apps just work without
problems. That is the reason of my topic - reassigning the bug to
kdegames?

And second thing - when I launch kmines from kdesktop launcher and then
close kmines, kdesktop doesn't hang - it only displays info:
"KDEInit nie może uruchomić '/usr/games/kmines'", what is probably
"KDEInit cannot launch '/usr/games/kmines'". Then I close that pop-up
and everything appears to work.

Regards,
Robert

Bug#245830: kdesktop hangs sometimes

2004-04-25 Thread Robert Gomułka
Package: kdesktop
Version: 4:3.2.2-1
Severity: normal

It started to happen on my current version - on previous versions it
never happened.
>From time to time, when I press alt-f2 to execute an application, I
click "Run" on kdesktop window, then selected application starts, but
kdesktop window doesn't disappear. Clicked button ("run") stays pushed.
After a few seconds I click on top-right cross to close kdesktop window,
then pop-up comes and says that kdesktop is not responding and if I want
to close it. I want to close it.
Then "Run a command" command from my KDE menu stops working.
Alt-F2 doesn't work, too. When my focus is on konsole, pressing Alt-F2
causes printing "OQ" character sequence on terminal. (Alt-F1 still
works).
I repeat - it didn't happen before my current KDE version (specified
below).
