Bug#444490: (kioslave crashes constantly when using fish:// in konqueror))

2007-10-03 Thread Samuel Leon
well crap it came back today! It won't run fish at all. It doesn't
crash, just won't even start. Console displays: ASSERT:
"!icon.isEmpty()" in
/home/adeodato/tmp/b/kdebase-3.5.7/./libkonq/konq_pixmapprovider.cc (81)

What the heck is going on?

Luckily, very luckily, the sftp:// that I had just discovered is still
working fine. But still, this fish thing bothers me.

Bug#444490: kioslave crashes constantly when using fish:// in konqueror

2007-09-30 Thread Samuel Leon
Ok I managed to get this problem worked out. I created a new user and
under that account I did not have any problems at all using konqueror
with fish. So I went back to my old account and deleted the
/home/user/.kde directory. This of course reset all my settings so I
had to sort that all out but konqueror with fish *never* crashes
anymore. Not sure what caused this problem in the first place.

Thanks,
Sam

Bug#444490: kioslave crashes constantly when using fish:// in konqueror

2007-09-28 Thread Samuel Leon

Package: kdelibs4c2a
Version: 4:3.5.7.dfsg.1-7
Severity: important

--- Please enter the report below this line. ---
Hello,
kioslave crashes constantly when using the gui front end for SSH. To
recreate, open Konqueror and type "fish://[EMAIL PROTECTED]" SSH will not
connect and "The process for the fish://x.x.x.x protocol died
unexpectedly." is displayed and the user logs fill with this error:
kioslave: ### CRASH ## protocol = fish pid = 3234 signal = 29
ASSERT: "!icon.isEmpty()" in
/tmp/buildd/kdebase-3.5.7/./libkonq/konq_pixmapprovider.cc (81)

This has been an ongoing problem for several months but it was just
random crashing. Since the [UPGRADE] kdebase 4:3.5.7-3 -> 4:3.5.7-3lenny1

[UPGRADE] kdebase-bin 4:3.5.7-3 -> 4:3.5.7-3lenny1
[UPGRADE] kdebase-data 4:3.5.7-3 -> 4:3.5.7-3lenny1 updates today, the
fish protocol just crashes constantly and cannot be used. I have never
had this problem with the 686 kernel, only the k7 one.

Let me know if any more information is need.

Thank you,
Sam
