Bug#674446:

2013-05-20 Thread Volodymyr Shcherbyna
I also noticed that when I have this problem I hear a click of my
harddrive.

I have three of them, and since only one is used I presume the two others
go to sleep. So, when they sleep and I open my dropbox I hear a click sound
like one of the sleeping disk is waking up and this transition from sleep
into non-sleep is causing the dolphin to hung.

Bug#674446:

2013-05-19 Thread Volodymyr Shcherbyna
Hello there,

I think I am also affected with this bug. Allowing loopback operations
using:

*iptables -A INPUT -i lo -j ACCEPT
iptables -A OUTPUT -o lo -j ACCEPT*

... does not really help me. The interesting thing is that the problem
started to appear just today, and I have never had any problems since the
Wheezy release (May, 4th 2013). I don't know if it is related, but before
it started to happen I had a problem to boot into Debian:

*Fatal server error:

Could not create lock file in /tmp/.tX0-lock
*
I just rebooted again and now I have the slow dolphin problem.

Bug#585721:

2011-06-06 Thread Volodymyr Shcherbyna
Hello everyone,

I got exactly the same bug in Debian 6.0 x86_64 and KDE 4.4.5. The
workaround is to remove KDE cache folder from /var/tmp/kdecache-USER_NAME

See http://www.shcherbyna.com/?p=1411 for more information.

Bug#605124: kmix: slider window is not redrawn properly

2010-11-27 Thread Volodymyr Shcherbyna
Package: kmix
Version: 4:4.4.5-1
Severity: normal

Hello everyone,

I've noticed that sometimes my kmix slider windows is not re-drawn properly. I
see some regions in different color, and some regions completly absent.

See screenshot here for better understanding of the problem:
http://www.shcherbyna.com/files/linux/kmix_glitch.png

If I click on icon in tray to make it disappear and click again to reappear the
problem goes away, but sometimes it reappears again.
