Package: knode Version: 4:2.2.2-14.6 Severity: serious
Knode appears to have a problem losing or corrupting user state data in scorefiles and sent message folders. I'm not sure of the precipitating event, more below. I've recently experienced data corruption and/or loss with knode. My scorefile has been emptied completely. The sent articles mbox is now corrupted and doesn't properly render in either mutt (mutt -Rf <file>) or knode. Headers from a corrupted article below. I've had a few unclean exit events in the past week or so, ranging from window manager shutdowns or segfaults, to a kernel panic. As I didn't check Knode immediately after either, I'm not sure which if any of these precipitated the failure. Other extant bugs indicate Knode caches data to save on exit, which may result in data loss or corruption. I can provide additional data / files on request.
