Bug#248468: juk: instantly crashes if output set to gstreamer

2004-07-01 Thread Hendrik Sattler
Hi,

indeed, installing gstreamer-plugins solved it.
Since juk support ogg and mp3, it should depend on the necessary
gstreamer-plugins.

  as james mcguire ([EMAIL PROTECTED]) points out, apt-get install
  gstreamer-plugins solves the problem.

  if you don't want to install such a big package, "apt-get install
  gstreamer-mad gstreamer-oss gstreamer-misc gstreamer-tools" should
  suffice.

  if that won't fix your problem, can you please execute:

$ gst-launch filesrc location=thesong.mp3 ! spider ! osssink

  and send the relevant output?

  thanks,

Package: juk
Version: 4:3.2.2-1
Severity: important

Hi,

subject says it all:
hit menu Settings->Output to->GStreamer
and then hit the play button: crash
Artsd in KDE-3.2.2 is broken in many ways (strange sounds and behaviour)
and I really don't want to use artsd anymore.
