Hi, I just upgraded package libkdecore5 from sid (to also 4:4.4.4-1 version) and I don't have described problem any more. It's fixed there. Hi again, are you sure? IMHO it is not the same problem like in bug #585751. I don't have any such problem with Plasma (no white background, no red squares, no white crosses ...). I just can't run KDE's systemsettings application correctly after last system upgrade. My current version of the package systemsettings is 4:4.4.4-1. Output of the systemsettings command is following: systemsettings(5807) SettingsBase::initApplication: "View load error: The plugin 'classic_mode' uses an incompatible KDE library (4.4.4 (KDE 4.4.4))." systemsettings(5807) SettingsBase::initApplication: "View load error: The plugin 'icon_mode' uses an incompatible KDE library (4.4.4 (KDE 4.4.4))." Window is rendered but it is empty. It immediately shows the error dialog telling me "System Settings was unable to find any views, and hence has nothing to display." After the confirmation of the dialog I have to close the window because there is nothing what I can do in it. I've tried to downgrade the systemsettings package to the previous version 4:4.4.3-1 and it WORKS just fine. I've used for downagrading "dpkg -i /var/cache/apt/..." command.
