 Hi,

Kwin crashes randomly (Mostly when switching windows) after some time of
 use
(typically 2-3 times in 8hrs). Windows are still visible, but there is no
 window manager.

If I relaunch kwin from a console, everything works again but I get the
 following message:

 *
 :~$ kwin --replace
QDBusConnection: session D_Bus connection created before QCoreApplication.
 Application may misbehave
 *

And when the next crash occurs, I get the following message in the console:

 *
intel_do_flush_locked failed: No space left on device
 *

My (single) monitor is configured at 1920x1200px and the video card is:

 *
:~$ lspci | grep VGA compatible controller
00:02.0 VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation 82945G/GZ Integrated
 Graphics Controller (rev 02)
 *

 This is probably related to:
 https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/mesa/+bug/977804

According to that, it may be a mesa bug, but since the application
 crashing is
kwin, I filed the bug here.

 Cheers,

 Carlos

PS: Not sure, but it may be possible to increase the chance of crash by
opening many large windows and switching between them
