Was your previous version using Qt5? - Did you *just* upgrade qtcreator or did you do a system upgrade? The log is fairly obvious in that it's an OpenGL problem. If you switched to the Qt5 version, it could be the fact that it requires better OpenGL support. Except you can give us some other hint that this could really be a creator problem I'll close this bug soon. You are right, I downloaded qt from official pages and qtcreator from there doesn't work as well, so it must be something unrelated to qtcreator (probably that openGL issue, but I did just update of system, so probably some other package is broken) I didn't install software based renderer because it did conflict with huge number of other packages, however the virtual machine has 2d and 3d acceleration enabled so it /should/ work. At least it did before.
