Bug#758983: akonadi-server: increased CPU utilization

2015-02-09 Thread Salvo Tomaselli
However, just sending the previous email, kept my cpu at 30% (so one core was
busy) for 10 minutes. Akonadi can't really be run on laptops.

Overall, since I moved to icedove (because the mail filters don't work in
akonadi) I don't know how often this happens because I'm not using it daily
any more.

Bug#758983: akonadi-server: increased CPU utilization

2015-02-08 Thread Sandro Knauß
tags: 758983 +moreinfo

Hey,

is this still an issue? Normally akonadi should be getting quiet after
indexing all emails, that can take a while. Also refreshing all emails can
make akonadi take a lot CPU. So in short periods and at beginning akonadi is
taking much CPU. Other than that we need logs of akonadi (akonadictl restart)
and a idea what is going on (see akonadiconsole, debug tab / job tracker).

Regads,

sandro

Bug#758983: akonadi-server: increased CPU utilization

2014-08-23 Thread Salvo Tomaselli
Package: akonadi-server
Version: 1.13.0-1
Severity: normal

Dear Maintainer,
the new version of akonadi-server is using a lot of CPU. top reports often
~50% (I have 4 logical cpus) to akonadi server and another 50% to mysql.

This makes my laptop heat, and my fan will start spinning, reducing my
battery time.

I don't know what the issue can be, but I'll provide the requested data.

Best
