Bug#758983: akonadi-server: increased CPU utilization
However, just sending the previous email, kept my cpu at 30% (so one core was busy) for 10 minutes. Akonadi can't really be run on laptops. Overall, since I moved to icedove (because the mail filters don't work in akonadi) I don't know how often this happens because I'm not using it daily any more.
