Well, I have recently switched to Mandriva 2006 -- after many years of
Debian practicing... BTW the kmix volume controls work very nice :-)

I have set up a laptop, and found the same pcm2 is the one mastering the
overall volume. Sadly, everytime I power on the laptop, I'm forced to
open gnome-volumen-control and increase pcm2 level. Besides I want to be
able to set Fn+F8, Fn+F9 keys to down and up the volume level, which
currently they do for volume and not pcm2. Have you found any workaround
to this problem?
