I returned totally sick from the meeting in Nove Hrady and burnt out. While trying to get rid of my summer flu I might be a bit short and confusing when I write mails :-) Ralf > > b. -- We're not a company, we just produce better code at less costs. Anyway, I personally don't care too much whether the metapackage exists or not - I'm mainly arguing against what appeared to be your strong animosity to the idea. :) b.

As I see it, if you don't like it, nobody's going to force you to install it. You could say the same about kde-extras - I'm certainly not going to download a metapackage that depends on all sorts of random unrelated KDE apps bound only by the fact that they all link with kdelibs. But I'm not complaining about its existence. As it happens however, I uploaded a few hours ago without the metapackage. But I honestly don't see how it would have harmed anyone. Ben.

Uploading koffice-i18n
Hi. I'm preparing a koffice-i18n upload ATM so we can get it into sarge before things start to freeze. Based on the latest discussion regarding package splitting with kde-i18n, my initial plan is to simply upload 30 different koffice-i18n-foo binary packages plus an additional koffice-i18n metapackage. For reference, the koffice-i18n sources are 19MB bzipped, hence the package splitting. Please let me know if anyone has problems with this. Ben. :)
