probably you got an old version of pvcreate? For my excuse - I'm doing
this on a gentoo laptop cause I've no debian currently here but .. as
you see the strin is in pvcreate .. alltough i don't know what it means.

yep it does, but unfortunately with dependencies, and i don't want my
stable system getting confused.
allthough i think debian is managing that thing very fine i must remark
that in the past a few things getting fu$%ed-up by mixing stable and
testing.

I'd like to see those deps cleaned out fast and wish the debian team
good luck for the next release.

I'm not quite sure if i'm right .. but isn't there a kernel bug
displaying some processes with PID 0 in ps or top.

maybe lkm is using this..
