There's isn't one. The Xsun servers do everything automagically.

(And if they don't, well, blame some Sun engineers 15 years ago.)

Xsun docs and configs

2001-11-13 Thread Mario Lombardo

Under /usr/share/doc/xserver-xsun, README.Debian has the following line:

"Furthermore, the Xsun servers do not use XFree86-specific innovations
like the /etc/X11/XF86Config server configuration file."

Where is the configuration file? Also, where are the docs on the the
Xsun server? I'm having some problems with the startup.

Thanks.
Mario

unresolved symbols

2001-11-13 Thread Mario Lombardo
I'm getting this on boot up. I'm using testing (Woody), but I've had
the same thing go on with Potato 2.2r2. It's a SPARCstation5 with 256MB
of RAM.

depmod: *** Unresolved symbols in /lib/modules/2.2.19/misc/hisax.o
depmod: *** Unresolved symbols in /lib/modules/2.2.19/misc/hysdn.o
depmod: *** Unresolved symbols in /lib/modules/2.2.19/misc/icn.o
depmod: *** Unresolved symbols in /lib/modules/2.2.19/misc/sc.o
depmod: *** Unresolved symbols in /lib/modules/2.2.19/misc/t1isa.o

Can somebody tell me how to fix this or point me in the right direction?

Thanks.
Mario

Working tftp boot image for sun4u

2001-11-13 Thread Ben Collins
Ok, I've narrowed down the problem with init not being pid-1 to 2.4.x
kernels and the presence of /linuxrc on the root disk. We don't want
/linuxrc, since we don't need it. However, on 2.2.x, this worked fine,
and on 2.4.x, the initrd code doesn't seem to know to mount /dev/ram
when it falls through.

So, this tftp image has no /linuxrc, and you need to make sure you boot
with this from the PROM:

ok boot net root=/dev/ram

This will get you by. I'm going to hold off doing 2.4.14 images until I
get this resolved, and then cut some new boot disks.

Freeware for the AS400: CAT produces a catalog of files in a library.

2001-11-13 Thread David Arbuckle
FREEWARE: AS400 Library Catalog Software (source included.) As thanks
for visiting our web site at
www.rapidfire400.com, we would like you to have our “CAT” Freeware package.

You can use “CAT” to gather information about the files in a library
and print reports;
 by Date Last Used,
 by File Size,
 by File Name.

We have included the source code with CAT. We used RapidFire400 to
automatically generate the
programs for the reports.

RAPIDFIRE400 ! Free DEMO
How would you like to cut your applications development time in half?
What if your programmers could produce RPG ILE code for reports and file
manipulations in a tenth of the time
it now takes them? Our program generator is easy to learn and run. If you know
AS400 query, there is almost no
learning curve! Rapidfire400 takes AS400 Query definitions and creates source
programs ready for testing!

I wish to close this issue I've upgraded yesterday and it seems to
work correctly. No need to disable ipv6 or recompile the kernel. An
apt-get dselect-upgrade cured the problem (*)

Thanks

Pf

(*) but it broke fetchmail :-( ...had to manually downgrade to
fetchmail_5.9.3-1, but this is another story.
