Ich suche eine Menge Spass , und .........

2002-06-24 Thread Eve

Hallo ,
Was ich suche?
(fast!) alles offener Mensch bin.

wirst Du sicher schnell merken...

Eve
P.S. Nur zur Vorsicht (nimms mit Hurmor... Ich tue es auch...):
Es steckt ehrlich nicht böses dahinter. Teste mich...

So far i used the package xserver-xsun as the XServer, but now this

Sorry, but the following packages have unmet dependencies:

ii xvfb 4.2.0-0pre1v1 virtual framebuffer X server

Can anybody help me?
Is my configuration no longer supported? Must I downgrade completely to
XFree 3.3.6?

I've seen a co-worker get into the drive's firmware, to chage it's state
to a "lower ATA"[1], and it worked. Don't remember the capacity/model of
the disk 'do.

[1] Can't recall exactly to with one, but he changed it to ATA33 I
think.

Ultrasparc5 + large IDE drive

2002-06-24 Thread Sébastien Lefebvre
Hi,

I'm trying to install Debian/sparc on a Ultrasparc 5.

I changed the shipped IDE drive by a Maxtor 80GB.
The drive works fine but when partitionning with fdisk, I can only
address 131071 cylinders.The disk has 155114 !

It gives me 66GB, not too bad, but I'd really like to make it work with
its full capacity !

What is the simpler way to make it work ?

I installed from the net using the latest netinst.iso for Sparc from the
Debian site.

Thanks

Sébastien

Re: No drm for X with 2.4.18 kernel

2002-06-24 Thread Matt Soccio
What kind of hardware? Which video card? How is it set up in
XF86Config?

If you are using the Sun Frame Buffer and one of their low end cards,
there isn't support for drm and you should comment the line that loads
it out of your XF86Config file. I think the Creator 3d and some of the
ATI cards have drm support that works with Sparc/Linux, but I am not
sure which ones. If X is working fine without drm, then don't worry
about it.
