Dear Human resources/Hiring manager for Engineering jobs, I am applying for the Electrical Engineer position in the field of ASIC or FPGA design and verification, DFT or Application engineering. I have a Master's degree (MSEE) in Electrical Engineering and four years of industry experience as an ASIC design engineer. I have worked on various stages of the design flow and have performed functions such as RTL logic design using Verilog; design verification; Dynamic timing analysis using TimeMill; DFT and ATPG using Tetramax; FPGA design. I have good communication skills and problem solving ability. I was responsible for finding the cause of design failure when the DSP processor communicates with the Memory. I was also responsible for generating ATPG patterns that passed functional test in Verilog. I am willing to self-relocate nationwide, within USA and Canada, and my salary requirement is negotiable. amalgamation of partitions.
Debian-Sparc readers, I am planning to move the swap space from the original drive to another drive. After that is done, can the old swap space be amalgated with the other existing partition on the original drive without loss of data? If so, is the procedure described anywhere? Thanks for any replies, Peter E. http://carnot.pathology.ubc.ca/

Openboot question
Greeting all I had another problem with my Saprc 20 that I fixed. I was playing around with the Openboot settings trying to get this other (now fixed) problem cured and I set the "boot-file" parameter to vmlinuz and now it says that vmlinuz is in valid arg. How can I reset the Openboot settings back to factory setting. The "boot-file" parameter is blank in the default column. Surely there is a way. (Yep I kind of goofed it up!) Any help would be appreciated. -- Thanks W Click on the link below to make a $5 Paypal donation to my College Fund. https://www.paypal.com/xclick/business=woodland%40a1above.net&item_name=Walt%27s+College+Fund&amount=5.00&no_note=1&tax=0¤cy_code=USD
Re: JBOSS on SPARC64,Any ideas for the exception error? where can i find another jsdk for SPARC?
I found the J2SDK1.4 for sparc, but It's in "01" version. (You can read http://www.debian.org/doc/manuals/debian-java-faq) clik on one of the mirror site http://www.blackdown.org/java-linux/mirrors.html. get /JDK-1.4.1/sparc/01/j2sdk-1.4.1-01-linux-sparc-gcc3.2.bin jboss-3.2.1_tomcat-4.1.24 is running on Debian 's sparc . Re: JBOSS on SPARC64,Any ideas for the exception error? where can i find another jsdk for SPARC?
Not sure whether this is related to your problem, but on an i386 box I had to use an SDK version >= 1.4 in order to run tomcat 4.1.24 properly. Perhaps, this also applies to jboss? AFAIK, there are binary 1.4.1 packages for sparc, not sure about deb's though. JBOSS on SPARC64,Any ideas for the exception error? where can i find another jsdk for SPARC?
Hi all, I've installed j2sdk1.3 (Java sdk) on (Linux 2.4.20 sparc64) and i try to run application server "jboss-3.2.1_tomcat-4.1.24". Jboss halt immediately after a exception error. #The java version "1.3.1": #Java(TM) 2 Runtime Environment, Standard Edition (build Blackdown-1.3.1-02b-FCS) #Classic VM (build Blackdown-1.3.1-02b-FCS, native threads, sunwjit) I would try a another j2sdk1.3 from IBM or other, just to see what hapen. Any idea for the java exception error for JBOSS? Any idea where can i find another JSK for Sparc64? compiling a new 2.4.21 kernel
As I was reading in here, like I tryed too, make-kpkg with a 2.4.21 vanilla kernel is a bit broken. I tried the classic make mrproper, make clean; make dep; make oldconfig: make vmlinux. When finished, I have a vmlinux.o file, and not the classic 'vmlinux' one. For sure it is an elf object code. The name is a bit unusual. So I'm going to try to boot it with silo I then get the yet mentionede message: Fatal error: Image too large to fit in destination Error loading /boot/vmlinux-2.4.21 I dont find any build target that compress the kernel image. Where do I did a mistake ?
