debian-installer bugs that need to be fixed for sparc

2004-01-19 Thread Blars Blarson
Here is my current list of bugs that need to be fixed for
debian-installer to be usable for sparc. If I've overlooked any,
please let me know. Most have patches in the BTS, one is fixed in
current cvs.

After d-i beta 2 has settled down a bit more, I think they should be
raised to release-critical.

probelm with last

2004-01-19 Thread Martín Marqués
I' ve found some problems with the use of last. Basically when ever someone logs
out from X (KDE in our case) it doesn't show a logout, but a "gone - no logout"
message, until someone else (or the same user) logs in. At that moment it marks
that session as logged out.

Any idea on why this behaviour?

You should use the BTS for such reports.

Oops on /dev/fb0

2004-01-19 Thread Sean Young
Hello,

I'm running debian stable on a Sun Ultra 5. Everything is running
fine, but if I do a simple `cat /dev/fb0' I get an kernel oops.

This happens with the debian kernel 2.4.18, and the same with 2.6.1. Any
ideas what is going on? Or should I report this at
http://bugzilla.kernel.org/?

Gaim 0.75 in unstable - High CPU load. (?!)

2004-01-19 Thread Chris K. Engel
Just wanted to alert the maintainers of Unstable that the latest update in
the Gaim line is prone to high load.

The self-compiled copy I have isn't prone to this.

Thanks for your time.
