help to find a sarge for sun
Hi all, I'm now trying to find where can i download a sarge iso to install Debian on my Ultra5. You have to use the new debian-installer to install sarge. The bad news are that also the woody install cd can not be installed due to a SILO breakage. The only solution i've found was to netboot with the image you can find on: http://www.phunnypharm.org/pub/for/sparc-folks/disks-sparc/current/sparc64/ (a woody image) and then after the installation succeded, upgrade to sarge. After the upgrade, X will stop working (monitor complain sync out of range). Look at this mailing list archive for the (simple) solution. -- dott. memory OT?
Hi! Maybe this is an off topic, but im new in sparc. today i instaled woody on a sunblade150, and in monday i will upgrade to sarge. I can't install sarge directly from cd, but i made a woody net install. My question is about memory: I just have 256M, but i need 2G, so i plan tu buy 4 512M dimm.
