I assume that's a SBus ESP - could you send the output of

"discover all"

and

"prtconf -v"

so that I could try and get this fixed on the installer side?
(I have no idea whether anyone ever bothered making a PCI ESP, but if
that's the case, send me output of "lspci" and "lspci -n" instead of
"prtconf -v".

Thanks

One thing before I forget it again. I've already forgottent it twice :)

Stay _VERY_ (I just can't stress that enough!!) clear of firmware patch
111292-17. It tosted my CPU (and two other people's on the 'Net).

I got mine replaced but it's not (that I know of) a warranty job (unless
you're lucky).

If you don't beleive that a piece of software actually can ruin
hardware (I don't beleive it either - still!) search on google
and you'll get a bunch of ruined machines...

I'm in this one at the bottom...

With the tftpboot.img, it's ok

Perhaps the Sarge installer you're using misses E250 SCSI controllers.

When installing Sarge on an Ultra 2 recently, the CD drive that I had
booted from became invisible. I escaped to a shell and did "modprobe
esp" to get support for the built-in SCSI controller. I also did
"modprobe sr_mod". After that the install and subsequent reboots went
perfectly.

The USB gadget layer is not supported currently, simply remove
it from your configuration.
