Source is in the XSF subversion repository. I've offered an Ultra 2, which may need memory if my scrounging does not succeed. I'm willing to be a tester for drivers of what I keep running in noncritical roles, which is Creator3D, Elite3D, cg14, and onboard ATI in U5/10. I'll try to build the unavailable packages and my own version of the xserver-xorg-video-ati package using XSF subversion sources. No promises about results or earliness. -- SP > > Best regards, > > Jurij Smakov[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Key: http://www.wooyd.org/pgpkey/ KeyID: C99E03CC -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". FW: RESOLVED: sparc32 problems with libc6 and 2.4 kernel
Btw, I also had non-us.debian.org in my sources.list ftp://non-us.debian.org/debian-non-US/dists/woody/non-US/main/binary-spa rc/ this may have also cause my error. -Original Message- From: Shaun Prince [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Friday, June 16, 2006 12:27 AM To: 'debian-sparc@lists.debian.org' Subject: RESOLVED: sparc32 problems with libc6 and 2.4 kernel I changed the repository hosts on all entries: >From 'http://ftp.us.debian.org/' to 'ftp://http.us.debian.org/' The only part I changed was the host, the rest of the sources.list remains unchanged. Like magic it is all working now. Thank-you for all your support, I can now finish my study on symmetric processing. I only have woody sources in my sources.list, with the exception of what is mentioned in the ap-kernel-upgrade-howto.en.html. zlib1g is depending on libc6, which is the constant I have faced form the different options that I have explored. > You can just upgrade the system. The sarge installer (rc3) seems to have issues with unimplemented assembler calls when the kernel boots. This prevents me form selecting/installing certain kernel modules during the installation. The 2.6 kernel images seem to panic before loading the installer (init). > Best regards, > Jurij Smakov[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Key: http://www.wooyd.org/pgpkey/ KeyID: C99E03CC Thank-you Shaun Prince -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
