Applications Engineering
I am a working with a Silicon Valley (Mountain View, CA) company that is looking for an Applications Engineer. This is a fulltime role. Our client provides advanced noise suppression solutions for enhanced voice communication to the mobile, VOIP, PC and auto markets. Their proprietary technology, derived from human hearing biology, allows the complete removal of the most difficult and distracting noises from voice, enabling clear communication and greater network efficiency. Summary As part of a dynamic technical support team the Application Engineer will be providing expert technical support for our client's leading edge product lines to our external customers. The successful candidate must be willing to travel to customer sites in Europe and North America. Travel expected to be typically 25% to 40%. Responsibilities Assist major customers in the development of complex technical products with embedded DSP software and ICs. Developing product based reference designs. Working with design teams to provide customer feedback on new products and features. Preparing technical demonstrations for trade shows and customer visits. Participating creating documents and white papers. Requirements System experience in ASIC, FGPA or board level design. Expertise in debugging system hardware including ASIC hardware interface to PCB/reference designs. Familiarity with debug tools such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and in-circuit emulators. Knowledgeable in Consumer Electronics or Telecom Semiconductor / IC support experience is a plus. Experience in developing DSP applications is a plus. Experience with audio expertise including CODECS, AEC, and noise reduction is a plus. European country language skills of speaking, reading, and writing will be a big plus. It's called lebrun.d.o. Right now I see some 42 *_sparc.deb files in there, so it seems like it might be approaching a working state of some sort. It does seem to have issues -- kernel 2.6.19.2 had crashed at one point soon after the buildd started running, and I seem to see some three more 'down' entries now with 2.6.22-rc5... elmo might know more. In any case, I thought I shouldn't leave this thread unanswered after this much activity finally happened :) -- 2.
