console on Niagara in 6.0.1
I problem I've reported repeatedly in the past, is still present in 6.0.1 Namely that the Niagara console does not get setup properly. So if you don't select SSHD to be installed or similar, the system cannot be logged into at the first boot since no login gettys get spawned on the correct device. Please increase this value to 256. install net drivers
Please add CONFIG_NIU to the network drivers provided on the network install image. Squeeze 6.0.1 released
Hello, Squeeze 6.0.1 has been released, and should contain a bunch of sparc-specific fixes, in particular: 1. niu network driver is not included in the installer udebs. http://bugs.debian.org/608516 2. pata_cmd64x driver is missing from installer initrd. http://bugs.debian.org/610906 3. Squeeze kernel does not boot on machines with atyfb graphic cards due to problems with console handover. http://bugs.debian.org/602853 4. Wait longer for the disk subsystem to initialize itself. http://bugs.debian.org/611314 If you have previously not been able to install or had to use my unofficial installer images, please give the new Squeeze images a go and report back.
