It's been a long week… Thanks to Bill (Alpha), Dann (IA-64), Thorsten
(m68k), Carlos and John (PA-RISC), Samuel and Svante (GNU/Hurd), and
Christoph and Arno (GNU/kFreeBSD), the organization page [1] has just
been updated.

If you have a second thought, please don't hesitate to reply so we can
update the page [1].

The offer still stands ;-)

This one too…

This list is the wrong place, you want sp...@buildd.debian.org.

Rebuild request: gnat-gps on sparc

2012-04-16 Thread Ludovic Brenta

Hello

gnat-gps FTBFS on sparc[1] not because of a problem in the package but
because it is very large and:
- it requires lots of memory. The last build attempt was on sompek,
using all 16 cores (or threads) and ran out of RAM, so the compiler
segfaulted. It seems that this machine, with only 0.5 GiB per core
of physical ram, could use more paging space (or better, more RAM).

or

- it takes a long time to compile. The two previous attempts failed
because the machine, spontini, a single-core, was configured to abort
  the build after 300 min.

The last successful build took 133 min on two cores (with 1 GiB per
core of physical RAM) on schroeder.

Could someone please schedule a rebuild of gnat-gps on spontini or on
a sompek configured with more paging space? Thanks!

gnat-gps is due to transition to testing in 4 days.
