Re: Floppy Installation
re: ftp://tux.u-strasbg.fr/debian/dists/Debian2.2r6/main/disks-sparc/2.2.22-2001-04-13/README.txt .../base-#.bin The base Debian distribution (base2_2.tgz), split into disk images. If you intend to install from the network, NFS, a mounted partition, or a CD-ROM, you will not need the `base-#.bin' images. (This is good news for the majority of us.) These are for floppy-only installs, or people installing the base system so that they can get PPP started and the rest of their system installed via modem. Not required unless are you are installing from floppies. read that txt for more help, make sure you check for the right dist > Aravind Vinnakota ([EMAIL PROTECTED]) AV wrote today: AV> Hi all, AV>Previously I installed Debian on my system using CDs. There isn't enough posted information on the net for people looking into the issues w/ ip routing / tunneling. There's a little bit but its all scattered with no real conclusion. If your someone that's already in the know these problems have become trivial and commonly asked (re: annoying). So hopefully, any newcommers finding this problem wont have to ask about it umpteen times, waste time searching, or bother people on the list(s). http://linux.lithiumnode.com/tunnel/ -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
