Bug#658886: O: proll -- JavaStation PROM 2.x compatible replacement

I intend to orphan the proll package. Ideally either a SPARC
porter or the QEMU team (although it switched to use another
implementation) should have preference over the adoption, if
they so desire.

I've just fixed multiple build failures with the upload, so it
should be now in an ok state.

The package description is:
 Proll is a 2.x PROM compatible replacement for JavaStations, that can
 be used on emulators such as Qemu or to make possible to boot Linux, as
 later 3.x series of the PROMs are unable to boot it.
 .
 JavaStations came with two different PROMs installed in them. Version 2.30
 shipped with the earliest Mr. Coffee models, that was updated by latter
 versions of the Sun Netra J software environment to 3.11. Krups and
 Espresso came with 3.x versions of the PROM by default.

XFree86 4.1.x on a JavaStation (Mr Coffee)

Has anyone successfully got XFree86 4.1.x (what's in Woody) to run on a Mr
Coffee JavaStation?

If so, can you share your configuration with me?

No. Like I wrote, we used the pre-compiled kernel from
the javastation how-to and the root.tar archive from
ftp.de.debian.com since I guessed that the kernel
included with the tftp bootimage would not work.

I just read a posting from Troy Morrison in debian.arm 
that describes exactly the same problem:

So, it looks like I am not the only one having problems 
to install debian woody via nfs.

If the installation over nfs does not work it would
be extremly helpful if someone could create a live
snapshot of his filesystem and put it on a ftp server.

Hello,

I was trying to install woody on a krups model javastation, which
didn't work out, becouse the tftpboot.img didn't boot, and my latest
kernel was 2.2.19.

Is there someone here who has a javastation, and who would like to help
me with trying te get it running.

configure the system myself, it more or less works fine. But I would
rather use dbootstrap to install instead :-)

X JavaStation

Has anyone gotten a JavaStation to run X.  I keep getting an fatal server
error: cannot open /dev/kbd, error 19.  I've gotten it to work on other sparcs,
so I was wondering if maybe the PS2 keyboard was causing the problem, since 
it's the only Sun machine to have such.
