There is an item on building a new kernel package in the Debian FAQ
somewhere under http://www.uk.debian.org/. If that doesn't help (a)
make a bug report against the FAQ; (b) I can perhaps provide the .deb
I built eventually.

I put the mine (runs on an Ultra1, 200MHz) up at
http://www.sci.fi/~pfp/ultra1-kernel
- enjoy. The config file is there too. The kernel has iptables, net
filesystems etc.

compiled as modules.

I had trouble using audio with this kernel, though. The cs24231 module
has only loaded once,
at other times audio.o fails complaining init_moduled: Input/output
error...

Please help: HappyMeal Bug

2003-02-15 Thread Hobbs, Richard
Hello,

I am experiencing the HappyMeal bug on my Ultra 1 The one that renders
my Sun box unpingable after a seemingly random time period.

I have two .patch files, but I don't have a clue how to apply them... I
assume they go into the kernel somewhere, but haven't never touched a
kernel, I'm clueless.

Can anyone offer any help on this??

This problem has also been posted on UnixForum.co.uk, but doesn't yet have
any replies, so feel free to reply on there.

http://unixforum.co.uk/index.php?act=STf=4t=9

Thanks in advance for your help,

Richard.
