Or the prom variables "input-device" on "keyboard" and
"output-device" on "screen" and deconnect the keyboard.

If the SUN does not find a keyboard in fall back to using
ttya as the console.

s/debian/sparc

You could do it at a PROM level, instead of a kernel level.

Go to de prom, and set up the prom variables "output-device" and
"input-device" to "ttyb" (the 9 pin serial) or to "ttya".
