Thanks a lot for your work! I've marked the odyssey as fixed in the wiki,
but as Frans said, you should be able to do it yourself (please let me
know if you have problems, I'll try to find someone who can fix it).

Hi Herr Groucho,

The upstream author has released version 0.3.2 with the patch. I have
opened BTS #361702 (wishlist) to track it.

I've noted that on the SparcPorting page on wiki.d.o (and put you up as
the owner). It might be a good idea to file a formal bug and put your patch in
the BTS, so that it will not get lost.

I've just submitted a patch for this one to the owner, which makes it build for
SPARC and probably all other Linux architectures too.
If that gets accepted we can then upgrade the Debian package.

Actually, most sparc packages in Debian are built in 32-bit mode to make
sure that resulting binaries work both on sparc32 and sparc64. According
to buildd log, the system type was detected as sparc64. It might be a
result of a buildd misconfiguration discovered some time ago - one of them
was not actually switching to 32-bit mode before starting the build, as it
should. I'll try to investigate this further. Does it build on sparc32 at
the moment?

At the moment this only builds for sparc (i.e. sparc32) due to a
restriction in the Debian build script.
It seems to me llvm itself would build for sparc64, but I cannot
verify that as I only have a sparc32 box.

IIRC they tried the iopl()/inb()/outb() tricks to access the parport.
Is that already gone and converted to the ppdev API or do they still
do that?

as there is lcdproc which provides similar functionality without
