That comes from the popularity-contest package, so you can install that on your sparcs to augment the number. I note that it only lists 89 sites using Debian-SPARC. How do we go about adding our own sites to it? We run it ourselves on quite a few servers (Fire v210, etc.), and want to migrate our remaining SUN boxen to Debian, but we have obvious concerns about the level of support for the arch. I even run it at home on my SS5. As long as we know the arch is not gonna go away, and will remain supported, it will be a lot easier to get more people using it. At the moment, I feel that many people are being put off by the existing issues with the port. At the moment, installing Debian on a v210 is painful. Sparc requalification for Etch
There was an IRC meeting on this subject earlier today with a notable lack of Sparc porters: http://people.debian.org/~vorlon/20051009-releasequalification.log Somebody (a porter) is going to have to take the lead on this for Sparc: http://spohr.debian.org/~ajt/etch_arch_qualify.html [1] A template for setting up a qualification page is available from: http://wiki.debian.org/EtchReleaseRecertificationTemplate?action=raw Cheers, FJP [1] This is the most up-to-date currently, but the canonical one is at: http://release.debian.org/etch_arch_qualify.html This table should be updated shortly. Note: No, I'm not going to do this myself as I don't consider myself a Sparc porter. I'm more an interested user and also have a certain interest because of my work on Debian Installer. pgp24Dus7pSJU.pgp Description: PGP signature
