I tried your solution, I even tested with a completly new user. But all
apps still crashing even the welcome message :-)

I did try KDE 3.4.2 on my U5 with unstable after a long time. Kwin
crashed for me. So I did rm -rf .kde* .qt* and after that KE created a
fresh configuration and worked fine.

Testing and KDE 3.4.2

Hi,

yesterday I made a dist-upgrade, since then all the kde apps are always
crashing (konsole, kopete, akregator, etc.). All the non kde apps
(Firefox, evolution, etc.) work normally. The previous version of KDE
3.3.2 was really stable on my system.

Is someone expecting the same problems? I'm running a fully "testing"
system (no packages for sid) on a Sun Blade 100.
