Au passage, je suis surpris du temps %CPU utilisé pour les écritures séquentielles en mode « par caractères » : 97% dans mon cas et toi tu avais 79%. Alors qu'en mode par blocs par exemple ça retombe à 7%. Si quelqu'un a une explication sur ce phénomène, je serais curieux de la connaître. Bref, pour en revenir à ton problème, je trouve quand même curieux que du jour au lendemain tu te retrouves avec des perfs pourries comme ça. J'ai du mal à imaginer un problème matériel (mais j'ai peut-être tort) et je pense que si tu avais fait des modifs particulières au niveau des disques (genre options de montages etc.) tu n'aurais pas manqué de nous le signaler. Tu ne sais pas si tes problèmes de perfs sont apparues au même moment qu'une mise à jour particulière ou qu'une install particulière par hasard ? À moins que l'apparition des perfs pourries se soient faites petit à petit ? N'y aurait-il pas un process qui tourne en arrière plan et qui sollicite ton disque sans arrêt de sorte que ça te plombe tes I/O ? Attention, il ne faut pas se limiter à la partition /home de ton disque mais à bien regarder sur toutes les partitions de ton disque. Parce que si une partition se fait bourriner sans arrêt par un process ça va impacter toutes les partition du disque forcément (vu qu'au final c'est la même tête de lecture qui trinque). Pour écarter ce genre d'hypothèse, perso, je pense qu'à ta place je redémarrerais le système en mode « recovery » avec juste une console root (le truc le plus minimaliste possible quoi), ensuite je démonterais *toutes* les partitions du disque suspect, puis je remonterais uniquement la partition /home mais au niveau d'un répertoire différent de /home justement (par exemple /home_tmp) puis je tenterais un nouveau test bonnie++ (exactement le même que celui que tu as déjà effectué précédemment). Je vois que ton disque contient les partitions /home, /tmp et /srv si je ne dis pas de bêtise. Par exemple, /srv, il te sert à quelque chose ? Lecture par caractères : il y a des tampons, donc le disque n’est sollicité que lorsque les tampons sont vides, pendant ce temps-là, le CPU mouline à fond sur les tampons en les lisant caractère par caractère. Le processus passe son temps à travailler sur les caractères, pas en E/S. Lecture par blocs : les tampons sont consommés plus vite, voire immédiatement, le processus attend que les tampons soient renouvelés, le CPU se repose. Colorized Prompts Problem
I entered the following in .bashrc PS1='\033[01;33m\h:\w\$ \033[00m' to colorize the prompt (very handy to find the prompt when a command fills the console screen with lines of text) The only problem occurs when the next entry is more than one line. In that case the entry wraps around without moving to a new line. Instead it overwrites the begining of the current line. The command will still work but cannot be revised in the case of a typo. For example the prompt alone may be almost a line long, the \w means it will contain the full path to the current directory. The next command to be entered is a long one that should wrap to a new line but instead begins to overwrite the directory path. You see you made a typo and try to move back with the left arrow key and instead the cursor jumps to the line above. Admittedly this is an infrequent and not a serious problem. All previous Debian installs, I was able to mount USB device and load needed firmware from it - The Jessie release is the only one so far that refused to see the external USB device. So, there is a problem with the installer as these reports would seem to suggest. I've also not had the success I had with Wheezy when it comes to finding and loading firmware for a wireless device. The method used changed early on in the development cycle of the installer and I think the d-i are aware of the problems. Tengo 4 particiones: sda1 = / = md0 sda2 = /home y /var sobre LVM = md1 sda3 = /tmp = md2 sda4 = swap = md3 Las 4 particiones hacen RAID1 contra sdb. Grub es instalado en sda, y en el primer arranque lo instalado sobre sdb. (...) Bien, pues deja conectado sólo uno de los discos e intenta iniciar con él y si no arranca el sistema inténtalo manualmente desde GRUB (si llegas a GRUB). Si no puedes, inicia con los dos discos (o desde una LiveCD) y revisa el archivo que te dije antes, si es que existe. Si no lo tienes, tendrás que generarlo. Por otra parte, no te cierres con el UUID, prueba usando los nombres habituales para ver si carga y si lo hace, al menos ya sabes de dónde viene el problema y será más fácil solucionarlo para que quede como prefieras. After freshly installing Debian Jessie on my old laptop, with no graphical environment yet, at prompt, only tty1 is present: if I press Alt-F2, Alt-F3 and so on, there's no prompt at all, no tty2, tty3, etc. Is that normal? Bonjour Gaëtan, Bon je ne suis vraiment pas un expert dans ce domaine mais bon, je tente des remarques quand même. C'est le genre de problème pas facile à résoudre. Déjà pour être sûr que c'est bien au niveau des I/O disque que ça coince, vérifie quand même les « I/O wait » de ton CPU (les moments où le CPU est forcé d'être oisif car il doit attendre que les I/O se terminent) durant une période d'activité et de lenteur de ton système. Tu peux le voir par exemple avec la commande top au niveau du champ « wa » de l'activité CPU. Parce que si, au moment où tu utilises gedit, tu constates des lenteurs et une activité à 100% d'un disque mais que par ailleurs ton CPU n'a pas d'I/O wait alors c'est que ce n'est pas au niveau du disque que ça coince Ce que je veux dire c'est que c'est pas forcément parce que le disque est utilisé à 100% que c'est lui qui ralentit le système (bon certes c'est peu probable, je te l'accorde). Ensuite, si c'est bien une lenteur au niveau des disques, alors pour cibler un peu plus le coupable tu peux utiliser la commande suivante lors d'une période de lenteurs : # Tu indiques tous tes disques, j'ai cru comprendre que tu en avais 2. # Le « 2 » en argument ci-dessous signifie un rafraîchissement de l'affichage # toutes les 2 secondes. # (je ne sais plus dans quel paquet se trouve cette commande, désolé) iostat -t -x -m -p /dev/sda,/dev/sdb 2 Tu regardes la partition pour laquelle la colonne « await » est la plus élevée. Je pense que tu l'as déjà fait, mais vérifie bien avec iotop par exemple qu'il n'y pas un process en train de bourriner des I/O à ton insu. Enfin tu peux tester le débit en écriture sur tes disques avec par exemple : # Ici ça écrit 100 fois un 1 Méga en utilisant le cache du filesystem (et # donc la RAM), ce qui correspond au cas réel par défaut. dd if=/dev/zero of=/destination/foo bs=1M count=1OO # La même chose mais sans passer par le cache du filesystem afin # de voir vraiment le débit en écriture du disque. dd if=/dev/zero of=/destination/foo bs=1M count=1OO oflag=direct À faire avec comme destination un fichier se trouvant dans la partition suspecte. En vérité dd ne correspond pas vraiment à une écriture « classique » car c'est une écriture séquentiel ce qui n'est en général pas le cas dans la vraie vie mais bon, c'est déjà un test rapide à faire. Un truc que je tenterais aussi, c'est de « stracer » une petite commande (typiquement pas Virtualbox) qui provoque les ralentissements que tu constates. Par exemple avec gedit si j'ai bien suivi : strace -t -f gedit ... 2 /tmp/log.txt Avec -t, tu auras la date (à la seconde près) en face de chaque ligne ce qui te permettra de voir les lignes correspondant à la période de lenteur. Hello! I am using Debian 8.0 Whenever I try to invoke System Log graphically, a password seeking box popes up and then nothing happens. So I tried $ sudo gnome-system-log but then again after entering the password the prompt quietly returns. Pining for Qt 5.4
Hi folks! I would like to use Qt 5.4 for its QOpenGLWidget. However, Qt 5.4 is still stuck in experimental. Being a user I now seem to have several options: 1.) Wait it out. Could you give me preview if that is a feasible plan? 2.) Grant root privileges to ./qt-opensource-linux-x64-1.6.0-8-online.run (the linux installer from www.qt.io) and see what happens. Is that dangerous? 3.) Forget the QOpenGLWidget, swallow this no-deprecated-stuff-pride, and use the obsolete QGLWidget, keeping in mind that I will probably have to rewrite that code later. 4.) Do neither and have the Qt program open a separate openGL only window using glutCreateWindow What would you do? Which is the standard/recommended way to set system wide proxy in Debian instead of editing utility specific rc files (wgetrc, apt.conf etc)? Remover libreoffice sem remover o gnome
Saudações. Já tive esse problema com vários programas, já teve caso que até mandei remover tudo e depois reisntalei, mas cheguei em uma situação que não é possível fazer isso. Tanho o LibreOffice 4.3 e quero instalar o 4.4. Na verdade já instalei o 4.4, mas agora preciso remover o 4.3. Mas todos os serviços de remoção de pacotes tenta remover o gnome... Já tentei isso: apt-get --no-install-recommends --no-install-suggests remove libreoffice Mas não deu certo, o gnome continua na lista de remoção. Alguém já conseguiu fazer isso na prática??? Då skall du få samma IPv6 hela tiden och maskinen kommer att fungera som en IPv6-router för ditt LAN. Kör inte detta på en portabel maskin, du vill inte routa alla nät som du ansluter till. Isf kör inte gogoc som server. Notera att du bör sätta upp en brandvägg om du routar IPv6 i maskinen som agerar router. I do like to use a colorized promt to show my running jobs and whether my AWS creds are in the environment, but I usually use the built in PS2 rather than create insanely long lines. It took a while to develop that habit, though, but it works better. Interface eth1 et eth2 non montees au démarrage
Bonjour, soit Jessie installée sur un serveur Alix, kernel Linux TOOI-FW-0001 3.16.0-4-586 #1 Debian 3.16.7-ckt9-3~deb8u1 (2015-04-24) i586 GNU/Linux Lorsque le serveur démarre, eth0 est montée mais pas eth1 ni eth2, bien que les 2 soient marquées auto dans leur fichier respectif. Lorsque je monte manuellement les interfaces, elles sont bien montées mais sortent une erreur. Prezados Instalei o Jessie, correu tudo bem. Aí fui instalar o bendito certificado digital da RFB Aladdin 72k. Segui as instruções no site do ITI e da Valid, mas como eu já havia previsto ele não roda em 64 bits. Fui instalar as bibliotecas de 32 bits no modo de compatibilidade, mas deparei com o seguinte problema no apt-get update: W: Falhou ao buscar cdrom://[Debian GNU/Linux 8.0.0 _Jessie_ - Official amd64 DVD Binary-1 20150425-12:54]/dists/jessie/main/binary-i386/Packages Por favor, use o apt-cdrom para fazer com que este CD-ROM seja reconhecido pelo APT. What is your GPU? I ran into something very similar when using the discrete GPU on a hybrid setup. If I use the integrated GPU the mouse pointer is there, but when using the discrete GPU it disappears, although the cursor *is* there just as effective as before; I just can't see it. From what I could gather this is an X.Org issue; perhaps your problem is related. Comme pour beaucoup de résultats, ce qui est le plus intéressant, c’est de comparer avant/après ou deux systèmes proches. De ce que j’en peux dire, tes chiffres m’ont l’air corrects pour les débits (~100 Mio/s en écriture, ~200 Mio/s en lecture et très peu d’usage du CPU) mais énormes pour les latences (1 à 2 secondes !). Ce qui expliquerait les ralentissements lors de la fermeture de logiciels qui souvent écrivent de petits fichiers (conf, état, etc.). Donc tu aurais un gros problème de latence (temps d’accès). Ce qui est très très embêtant quand on lit/écrit beaucoup de fichiers (genre une installation). Bon, maintenant, il faut trouver d’où ça vient… Je sens que ça ne va pas être simple :( Bonnie++ donne quoi sur vos machines, histoire d'avoir un point de comparaison ? Changing starting directory for video players
I use Debian 8.0 (Jessie), amd64 port, and KDE. Dragon Player has starting directory: ~Videos. VLC has starting directory: ~ KPlayer starts at the last directory used. KMPlayer starts at ~/Documents. How do I change the starting directory for these video players? Since no answer came, I took a risk and bought a Lenovo Miix 3-1030, mostly because of the better resolution (1920×1200 instead of the usual 1366×768). The good news is: the touchscreen is supported by Linux. The video controller works well too with Free drivers, this is an Intel controller. But it stops there. No wifi, no sound, no webcam. Not just unsupported: invisible. Nothing on lspci, nothing on lsusb. And not a rfkill thing either apparently. According to the OEM windows, the devices are accessed trough I2C, ACPI (?) and SDIO (???). I do not know how these technologies work, I do not know how to explore them. If someone has experience with that kind of technology, I would appreciate a little help.
