Happy anniversary indeed.

30 years for anything is a significant milestone particularly an all, or
nearly all, volunteer project that doesn't have a single person who is
the benevolent dictator for life but instead has had a number of elected
project leaders over that time.  This is very much an accomplishment and
all involved may take a well deserved bow.

My personal foray into Debian began 24 years ago next month, as I
recall.  I installed Slink from a pile of floppies onto a castoff IBM
Thinkpad 760ED.  Most everything worked except for the internal modem
and sound as both were tied to a proprietary DSP that never had support
added to the kernel.  In January 2000 I replaced the by that time
obsolete libc5 based Slackware '96 installation on my desktop and was
running the soon to be stable Potato in short order.

I wish I could say that those original installations had been upgraded
and migrated uninterrupted over the intervening years but I did distro
hopping yet always came back to Debian and also bumped up to amd64 along
the way.

Here's to many more anniversaries.

How are you launching sway? Typically sway and display managers (gdm, 
kdm etc) don't work very well together. So the usual way to launch it is 
to stop your display manager, log in on a virtual console and run "sway".


Additionally, you should let the list know what display hardware you 
have and, perhaps, what your sway config looks like.

je ne fais pas de développement/retouche photo, donc je ne fais que passer

mais d'après cette liste de formats ImageMagick, le format DNG et pas 
mal de formats RAW propriétaires sont gérés:

En complément du message ci-dessous, j'ai également eu des éléments 
complémentaires en privé.


Globalement, l'interrogation était de savoir si le problème venait de 
l'ordinateur (du "récepteur" bluetooth), de Debian ou d'un problème avec 
le clavier et/ou la souris.


Aujourd'hui, j'ai testé avec une clé live "Ubuntu" et... aucun souci...
Ceci élimine donc un problème côté ordinateur portable mais aussi sur la 
souris elle-même.


Mais maintenant, pourquoi est-ce qu'elle fonctionne nativement sur 
Ubuntu et que, sur Debian, tous mes autres périphériques bluetooth 
marchent, sauf ceux-ci ?


Là, j'arrive au bout des différents tests que je peux imaginer.

Si vous avez une autre option, je suis preneur .

Quant à ta question sur le groupe, oui, c'est le cas, et d'ailleurs je
n'avais pas de souci avec ma souris bluetooth précédente.

Là, c'est comme si mon ordinateur (est-ce lié à l'adaptateur matériel ou
à Debian ?) ne "voyait" pas uniquement ce clavier et cette souris...

Bonjour Benoît,
Dans les paquets Debian, il y a un paquet UFRAW qui fonctionne en autonome et 
qui peut faire beaucoup de choses.
La sortie permet d'envoyer le résultat vers un logiciel de traitement d'image.
Je l'ai toujours utilisé vers Gimp et n'ai pas essayé vers d'autres logiciels.
Je n'ai pas eu l'occasion de faire des traitements par lots.

Je pensais pouvoir t'aider, mais je n'ai pas d'autres informations.
Bonne continuation pour résoudre ton problème.

Pour cette fonctionnalité libre et en ligne de commande, il faut en effet UFRaw 
en module de ImageMagick, je n'ai pas testé, car ce n'est pas en bookworm.

Le principal intérêt des logiciels en ligne de commande, c'est d'écrire des 
scripts pour faire du traitement d'image par lot.
Mais la plupart des logiciels libres de dématriçage gèrent très bien le 
traitement par lot.
Imaginez (une hypothèse complètement farfelue, mais bon) un photographe pro qui 
revient d’une séance photo d’un mariage… 
Il avait bien fait tous ses réglages en mode manuel, pour ne plus avoir à 
penser réglage durant la séance, balance des blancs sur 4760K.
Manque de bol le soleil a tourné et est entré au travers d’un vitrail de 
l’église durant la séance photo et la lumière projetée sur la robe de la mariée 
est jaune sur 157 clichés…
S’il n’avait que des logiciels de retouche changer la balance des blancs 
manuellement sur 157 clichés un par un, a chaque fois que ce genre de pépin se 
produit, il peut déposer le bilan…
A ma connaissance les logiciels de dématriçage comme ART, Darktable, ou 
Rawtherapee, permettent d’appliquer une correction (genre balance des blancs) 
sur un lot de photos.
Du coup, scripter en ligne de commande, des modifications par lot, a peut-être 
encore du sans dans certains cas, mais pas celui-là, si ça peut se faire au 
clic…

It sounds like you are trying to upgrade directly from Debian 9 to
Debian 11. Doing so is not supported because it would skip an
intermediate major Debian release. You have to first follow the
documented upgrade process from Debian 9 to Debian 10 (buster), then
from Debian 10 to Debian 11 (bullseye).

I would also suggest to upgrade all the way to current stable Debian
12 (bookworm), especially if your upgrade cadence is such that you're
still on Debian 9.

Your question is impossible to answer. You will need to give some
information about what you did (with actual detail), what you expected
to happen, and how it went wrong.

I recommend that you have a look at [0] and then ask your question
again.

One thing, however, that I can point out is that upgrading by skipping
major releases is not recommended or supported at all. You should really
upgrade from 9.9 -> 9.13 first, then to 10, then to 11.

Looks like originally it was meant as a kind of Proto-Sid:

 "2) Debian will contain the most up-to-date of everything. The system
 will be easy to keep up-to-date with a 'upgrading' script in
 the base system which will allow complete integration of
 upgrade packages."

Here i see a good argument in case Debian ever discusses to discontinue
the ISO sets with all packages:

 "6) Debian will make Linux easier for users who don't have access to the
 Internet. [...]"

Me huelo a que el ISP ha bloqueado los accesos por puerto 80 y 8080 a 
páginas de "hackers"...(¡?) No es la primera vez que lo hacen, suele 
suceder con accesos a foros, usualmente porque algún juez tarado 
ordena bloquear un foro específico por "copyright", y terminan 
bloqueando todo un dominio.


Desde el sábado estoy en un ida y vuelta con el "servicio técnico" que 
me dice que "apague y prenda Windows".


Van la pregunta:
¿Alguno tiene problema similar?

problem with sway package

i have tried installing sway package in debian bookworm but it was not 
displaying any thing and also the terminal was getting stuck in the 
login page it self when i tried to run sway in the default terminal. i 
have tried this in virtual machine several time still the issues 
remians same , please try to look into this and i have to say that i am 
trying to install sway package in my custom debian - bookworm

Especially with a server, where you don't want the root user logging

any effect if the user is deleted after the system installation is
complete? (Solved root using key to log in)
