Otro curso de acción que tomaré es tratar de ver si los muchachos de google se dignan compilarlo en amd64. La pregunta es: ¿Alguien pudo ejecutar Google Earth en un entorno X sobre un amd64 sin tanto lío? O que sea fácil de configurar para un usuario básico de 10 años de edad. Le voy más a que es la tarjeta de video. Exactamente lo mismo le pasa a la máquina de un amigo cuando actualiza (el kernel, las x's, etc...) y quiere correr compiz sin recompilar el módulo de la tarjeta de video. Por otro lado a mi me funciona bien google-earth en un intel core 2 duo a 64bits.
