KDE4 no packages in kpackage in squeeze
Hi list! I prefer to use KDE. I use for update the apt-get commands. Since some weeks kpackage smart update says: Fatal Python error: pycurl: libcurl link-time version is older than compile-time version. I found this problem in the debian reportbug site however they closed the bug. I tried every version of remove/reinstall commands I thought. Software raid OK?
Hi List! I installed a software raid, level1 with 3 disks, one of them is a spare. I have 2 partitions: md0 is for / and is made of sda1,sdb1, sdc1 md1 is for swap and made of sda2,sdb2, sdc2 - I can boot form both disks, - the system works fine. - mdstat says the raids are active - mdmadm --detail seems to be fine ( Superblock is persistent ) However mdadm -E says: no md superblock detected on /dev/md0 and fdisk -l says: no valid partition table found on md0 Is the raid OK or not? ntfs with encrypted files
Hi List! I have the following problem: - on xp the user encrypted 6 GB of data ( documents, photos etc.) - the data was copied tho an USB-HDD ( the user didn't mention that the data is encrypted) - the xp was fully reinstalled - the restore doesnt't work because it's not possible to read the encrypted files We are out of ideas. Print fax to samba
Hi List! I'm using efax-gtk to receive faxes. It works fine. My problem is: How to set up printing to a printer on a remote XP? The printer has no postscript, it has only PCL3 (HP LaserJet compatible) The printer is already working from other programs ( like openoffice.org ) I'm using CUPS. etch vs sarge
Hi List! I run services on sarge in two major parts: - qmail,clamav,spop3, ssmtp,rblsmtp and - apache2,mysql 4.1,php4 I'm considering to dist-upgrade from sarge to etch(testing) I would like to use mysql5 and php5 if it's not a to big deal to change. My question is: Can the dist-upgade do it for me or the chaos is waiting for me? I know mysql would like a full export/import. Is there anything else? Is there someone with experinece on it? Mit der Upload Bandbreite sind 4 webcams und 1 Mikrophon def. nicht streamingfähig. Alleine der Sound braucht 50-60kbit, je nach Codec. Es ist realistisch, dass mehr als 20 oder mehr Personen sich die Webcam gleichzeitig anschauen. Thanks Akos I've done this several times and I always go back to Sarge. If you *must* have an Etch package, install just that. In all cases *backup* (TM) before you do it or do so on another partition. H Thank you all for the help! Question: Where to install the packages from? From debian-etch or backport.org or dotdeb.org or ?? What will happen when I install from one of these sites and etch changes from testing to stable? What will make a dist-upgrade in this case? iodbc mit mysql DSN Probleme
Hallo Liste! I will iodbc mit mysql-4 zu verbinden. I habe alle Einstellungen probiert was ich mir vorstellen konnte.
