The main problem is that it works under older kernel- now I'm trying to use kernel with different options disabled and we'll see what is the exact problem (First I though SCSI card, but it's not). B.
/dev/ttyS2 port not accessible
When using new (compiled) kernel (e.g. 2.2.15) I receive message for port /dev/ttyS2 - port busy (0 and 1 working properlly). Any ideas what might be the problem ? B.
Re: /dev/ttyS2 port not accessible
Acctualy if using default kernel for Debian 2.1 (I think 2.0.36) everything works fine. I didn't even start using the port since I need to change it's IRQ to 5 I used setserial and received the message about busy port. Let me add that I don't have any additional serial cards. This port is used for internal modem. B. SCSI & ttyS2
When running with new kernel 2.2.15 compiled with SCSI support for Initio's 9100 I see (using setserial /dev/ttyS2) that serial port ttyS2 is busy (actually device or port is busy). What is the reason for that ? How to resolve the problem since I'm using this port for modem ? Will usage of modules help (SCSI support as module). B.

I guessed it will be part of lesstif package, but I was wrong. Any ideas where to get this library ? Oh, yes. I am not prepared to download new version of Star Office (using only dial-up connection). 2) Does anybody know any usefull word processor for Linux using Latin 2 fonts ?
