Do you have your kernel's header or source?

Do you have compiled the nvidia-glx?

What I do to compile my nvidia drivers is:

First of all download your kernel source or header. Afterwards you can use make-kpkg
modules_image.
With the nvidia-glx, after downloading it, it will be in /usr/src/nvidia-glx-/, so
if you go to that directory you'll be able to do: "dpkg-buildpackage -rfakerrot -uc
-us" When it's finished You'll find the nvidia-glx-.dev in the /usr/src/ directory
and you'll be able to install it.

Yes, I've got the same errors as you, but no with the 2.6.0-test3 kernel.
Another problem I have is that with the 2.6 kernel I'm not able to make kernel-nvidia
module. And have somebody tried to execute modprobe with the 2.6 kernel, 'cause I get
some errors and I'd like to know if that is normal.

Thanx. I've checked it out, and in there I've found a web whith a splash image howto,
the web is:
http://ruslug.rutgers.edu/~mcgrof/grub-images/
I hope you like it. (I have downloaded some splash images) ;)

I didn't know about update-grub, thanks. But I'm curious about if it's possible to
include in the kernel-image-x.deb installation the automatic grub update ( as it
do whith lilo).

Thanx.

Exim configuration

2003-08-14 Thread Engosh

Hi,

I'm trying to configure a mail server at home. I'm using exim, fetchmail and procmail.
By now I can send mails to my box from local, but I don't know what I have to do to be
able to receive mails from the internet. Do you know how to do it?

Thanx.

kernel-package and grub

2003-08-14 Thread Engosh
Hi folks,
I have two questions for you:

1) Is there any way to update grub menu.lst when installing a kernel package
made by kernel-package (I mean as it does whith lilo)?

2) Where can I get images to use in the splashimage of grub? Or how can I make
some?

Thanx.

I already have one of these domains. I'll try with the eximconfig again.

Done. Sorry I was trying different kernels, and maybe that's why it was that way I
didn't see that. Thanx
