Re: gcc & cc1

1997-01-22 Thread Javier Gismero

Have you seen the directories under /usr/lib/gcc-lib??
Probably you will have more than one version, so you have to link in the newest
one to the binaries resident in the older one.
I had the same problem with g77 (it did'nt find the libf2c.a) and with two
links the problem was solved

Hi Esger, everything seems to be allright!

Effectively FvwnSave is working but in the way of creating a new.xinitrc file
that should be renamed by the user as .xinitrc for the changes to take effect.
Anyway some applications don't provide information enough for this module to
save them (ex, files, the filemanager). On the other hand the module called
FvwmConfig does not exist. Thank you very much!

And now, to abusse your patience a bit more, do you know how to configure the
filemanager under Fvwm95 in order to have icons for the recognized types of
files and execute the correspondig programs by double/clicking???. I've read
the manual page for files *the filemanager* and it seems the file to check is
.Filesrc but it doesn't work at present.

Re: Unidentified subject!

1997-01-20 Thread Javier Gismero

Hi Esger,

Ok, the changes I do to the config file propagate to the system, that's fine.

My question is about the specific aplications regarding the desktop
configuration that appear under "modules": save config and configure. In the
configuration file there are not execs related to these but "modules":
FwmConfig and FwmSave.
That modules are in my system but the applications dont run.

Thanks again,

thanks, Esger, for your help on fvwm95.
Actually I've been configuring some applications editing the file you mention
but the problem is that the applications for save and configure the desktop
don't invoke any program but it seems that load some binary modules:FvwmConfig,
FvwmSave etc. That modules are in the system but the applications dont run.
Any help???

Unidentified subject!

1997-01-20 Thread Javier Gismero
I've succesfully installed Debian 1.2, but if running fvwm95 it seems
that several applications don't run properly: how to save or
configure the desktop??
I would appreciate any help!
