Or mixed Debian sources and non-Debian sources. The "libc6 (>= 2.27)" dependency is identical to the libc6 dependency on the *buster* (Debian 10) version of libavcodec58. (Which is a package that does not even exist in Debian 9.) So, it looks like you've either got a buster (Debian 10) source, or you've got some third-party source that was meant to be used with Debian 10. I did some further research with live-CD's, as well with x86 as amd64: Results on both versions: mouse behaves normal after booting system and log in (when no application runs) - first thing I saw was: "*Oh no, something has gone wrong*" (I think this is no problem) so I continued and got the normal user screen. I pressed right button for settings: The mouse was a bit jumping and when I moved to the group of background pictures (via click) the mouse from picture to picture (from one background picture to the neighbouring one) is "sticky". this occurs on each "border" of the pictures. Then I started an application. I chose Firefox as application and started it. here the mouse was more or less fixed ... also keyboard typing was not possible. The mouse behaved as if stuck to the mousepad. Then I started another application: the mouse disappeared when moved from neutral background to the window of the application. I have the impression the applications hinder the mouse to move. could this be a priority problem? kind regards Jörg

Hello list, I did some further research. In particular I used the live-ISO-image of Buster (amd64) on DVD and bootet the system. And I found the following: Mouse still is irrational. It works fine, when no application has startet after logging. When then an application is started (in this case firefox of the DVD) the mouse mostly does not move. It jumps. And when there is a button something similar, the mouse behaves even worse. I did not dig into the "InputClass" because I did not find it. So any help is urgently needed. tia Jörg

In the meantime I found xinput and installed it. Good tool. But things go slow due to lack of time. I will come back a bit later.===Von meinem Samsung Gerät gesendet.Jörg Kampmann, Dr. Dipl.-Phys.www.ibk-Consult.de - www.kampmannpeine.orgwww.researchgate.net/profile/Joerg_Kampmann === Ursprüngliche Nachricht Von: Jörg Kampmann Datum: 03.05.20 13:08 (GMT+01:00) An: geo...@nsup.org Cc: debian-user@lists.debian.org Betreff: Re: Re: Mouse awfully slow on Debian 10 on certain machines thanks a lot In order to test your suggestions I tried them under Debian 9 - 32-Bit - however these programs do not exist on my debian 9 - neither xinput and for libinput I found: bash: libinput: Kommando nicht gefunden. #--- command not found root@primergy:/home/kampmann# whereis libinput libinput: /usr/share/man/man4/libinput.4.gz Any ideas? thanks a lot In order to test your suggestions I tried them under Debian 9 - 32-Bit - however these programs do not exist on my debian 9 - neither xinput and for *libinput* I found: bash: libinput: Kommando nicht gefunden. #*--- command not found* root@primergy:/home/kampmann# whereis libinput libinput: /usr/share/man/man4/libinput.4.gz Any ideas? Mouse awfully slow on Debian 10 on certain machines
Hello list, I installed Debian 10 on my Fujitsu TX 100 S1 (64 and 32 Bit possible) with debian 64. After that I observed: the mouse pointer is awfully slow. Therefore I went back to Debian 9 32-bit. On a HP-Pavillon 64-bit Debian 10 works just fine. Anybody knows about this problem? What can I do? tia Jörg -- = Joerg Kampmann, Dr. Dipl.-Phys - IBK-Consult for Climate Physics - D-31228 Peine +49-177-276-3140 ===
