I believe at that point you type either./knx-hdinstall or just knx-hdinstall. -- Ken Thompson Payette, Idaho Email: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Linux- Coming Soon To A Desktop Near You Registered Linux User #183936 -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of unsubscribe. Have you checked to see if the network card has been asigned an IP address and that the network is up? Do su and ifconfig to see. I have tried this, but cannot get it to find my audio CD in my CD drive. I have SCSI emulation set up and here is my /etc/fstab file. I have a CD drive and a CDRW drive installed on my system: trey@salmander:~$ grep cdrom /etc/fstab /dev/scd1 /cdrom iso9660 defaults, user, noauto,ro 0 0 /dev/scd0 /cdrom1 iso9660 defaults, user, noauto,ro 0 0 All help is greatly appreciated. -Trey Hi Trey, if all you want to do is extract the music data to files there should be several programs to do that for you. cdparanoia is the one I prefer, cdda2wav an other. Perhaps grip can be used to just rip the music although it is intended for converting/compressing them to mp3. Why do you want to do this, just to be able to play them without having the cd inserted or to further process the songs? Best regards, Emil Gcombust will rip a music CD and save to .WAV for you.
