dasher

Package: dasher
Description: A graphical predictive text input system
 Dasher is an information-efficient text-entry interface, driven by
natural continuous pointing gestures. Dasher is a competitive text-entry
system wherever a full-size keyboard cannot be used - for example,

 * on a palmtop computer
 * on a wearable computer
 * when operating a computer one-handed, by joystick, touchscreen,
trackball,
 or mouse
 * when operating a computer with zero hands (i.e., by head-mouse or by
 eyetracker).

 The eyetracking version of Dasher allows an experienced user to write
text as fast as normal handwriting - 25 words per minute; using a mouse,
experienced users can write at 39 words per minute.

 Dasher uses a more advanced prediction algorithm than the T9(tm) system
often used in mobile phones, making it sensitive to surrounding context.

For me the debian kernel works with vga=, while x is a number chosen
from the menu occuring by use vga=ask as kernel parameter.

About uvesafb I don't know anything.

This is not necessary, though awesome is available as backport for etch
via backports.org. It works fine.

configure-debian do this task quite well. It just lacks some further

I think you misunderstand the purpose of the command. wodim -scanbus
looks only for devices wodim can read from or write to, which means
cd/dvd-burner and -reader. I don't think, that you want to burn with the
jaz nor the zip-drive, because they are disk drives. Mount them as usual
and you should be fine.

If you want your drives to be detected, use hwinfo or discover or similar.
