I usually recompile the kernel for it... But this isn't the answer you want. Anyways... apt-get install kernel-source this should print available version to apt-get. Scott J. Vaverchak

Re: (OT) Perl books
I have come to relize you don't really need a book for perl. You can learn most of perl online. Just search for "Perl Tutorial" on google. But then again I think if you are begining programming. You should most likely start with C. Its tougher but you can pick up a language pretty fast after learning C. Just my personal opinion. --adeo of alpha On Thu, Jun 28, 2001 at 12:22:12PM -0500, Jay Latham wrote: > I hope I don't get flamed for asking this on this > list but here goes. > I've decided that it's time I learned a little about > programming and I've decided that, for various reasons, > Perl would be a good place to start. I would do a little simple command: echo "exec blackbox" > ~/.xinitrc -- Scott Vaverchak { [EMAIL PROTECTED] { suadeo : [+ dat] to speak in favor of; suadeo : to recommend, advise (a person); } }
