Maybe it's a problem with libgdk-pixbuf2.0-0, but I'm not sure.

I've tried to reproduce this problem on four systems running Debian
testing with Xfce4 and couldn't see it.

What I have seen of late is that icons in /some/ gtk-based applications
show up as high contrast icons, rather than whatever they've been set to
in the Icons tab. But I gather that what you're seeing in this regard is
rather more far spread -- all applications, even Thunar?

Do you have both gtk2-engines-xfce and gtk3-engines-xfce and
gtk2-engines-pixbuf installed? (I'm no expert at this, but have just
seen aberrations in icon and theme behaviors with /some/ of my themes
and icon sets when these aren't installed.

Hi,

It happens in all applications even in Thunar.

I've checked the packages that you told me and every thing looks fine.

Just in case it could be a clue, I get this in ~/.xsession-errors

Re: Scratchy sound with debian wheezy on ASUS A73B series

On 04/01/2013 01:15 AM, Vincent Hobeïka wrote:

Dear debian users,

I have recently set up a debian wheezy on an ASUS A73B series.
Everything went well except that the sound is very scratchy. I can
play sound but there is an additional annoying noise, like a bad
communication on old land lines: scrrrtch scrrrtch. The higher the
volume, the higher the frequency of the scratches (and volume too). It
sounds a bit like a saturated amplifier, but not exactly. It's more
like a bad contact which would always work badly. There is a dual boot
on the computer and the sound is working perfectly well on another non
free operating system. So I suppose that the hardware is ok.

I have checked the volumes and they are not at the max. I have tried
to play with alsa settings without any improvement.
I tried adding a PCM channel in order to reduce this effect (see
.asoundrc below). I can change the volume with three channels: master,
PCM, speaker.
I have tried removing pulseaudio, alsa-base, reinstalling them one by
one... I finally installed paman and pavucontrol and played with them,
but nothing worked.

Any help or hint would be very welcome. Here is my setup:

Hello,

Did you check the log file `/var/log/Xorg.0.log`?.

Maybe you can find a clue there.

Antivirus AVP para linux

2000-05-29 Thread Ximo Nadal
Hola:

total used free sharedbufferscached
Mem: 63528 62332 1196 49252 5736 34080
-/+ buffers/cache: 22516 41012
Swap: 66524 60 66364
Tota: 130052 6249267560

[...]
mem=
Since the BIOS of most PCs can only report 64 Megabytes there are
times when the kernel needs to be told that there is more memory than
this. This argument should be used with great care, since, if you lie
to the kernel and tell it that it has more address space than it
actually has, the system will crash miserably as some time in the
near future. Also make sure that your system does not use the highest
memory for caching the bios code, as use of this memory by the kernel
will ultimately crash the system as well. The value given after the
equal sign should be the highest ram address available to the kernel,
so a 96 Megabyte system would get an argument like
"mem=0x600".
[...]

Syntax error near line 7 in file /etc/lilo.conf

Espero vuestra ayuda.
Saludos.
